Strength:
They're very flat, extremely small, hefty, impressive power handling for something that small (supposedly rated 150 watts). Also these days you can sometimes find them used for almost free. Actually I don't know what year these are, that information has faded. Weakness:
At medium volumes anything below 150 hz distorts so hard that I'd call it clipping and there is no low base, I ran a frequency sweep to test... I'm going to put a crossover on them to fix that. I wouldn't be happy with these without a crossover and a subwoofer (I have the subwoofer, a crossover with a highpass is ordered). But with those I expect them to beat my (also old) Klipsch kg1 bookshelf speakers because they're already close, and I'm getting deeper base from the subwoofer. I'd give them 5 stars for the very tiny size if they didn't need a filter to stop the clipping. Price Paid: $7
