Good Mounting, very robust design

A little weak in the mid range frequencies.

I purchased these speakers to mount under my covered patio so that we could have music in the back yard and while we were swimming in the pool. They are adequate. These speakers are a little warm sounding for my tastes but my wife really likes the sound. To me there is quite a bit of drop out in the middle vocal frequencies. It's funny though, they sound better out in the yard away from the speakers. It's almost like they cancel each other out at close ranges. I've checked the phase and all seems well. The drop out seems to go away when you get 25 feet out into the yard or pool. Overall, pretty good but not audiophile by any means. Of course, what do you expect from a $113 pair of speakers.
