Strength:
Bass is much tighter and responsive. Best value possible for a small sub.
Weakness:
Its a box, while it not a bad looking box, its still a box. Audiosource discontinued this item. As promised, I would post a review after adding insulation to the box.I simply removed the front woofer, removed the small pillow of acoustic material within and added insulation (in the form of roll insulation). Just peel off the fiber glass material from the roll and place it along the walls inside. I then added back the provided "pillow" in the center and replaced the speaker. This greatly dimished any boomyness in the speaker an is thus a great speaker for music and movies. This is great small sub. It will be perfect for small to medium sized rooms (~15'x 15'). Check out Ebay and get one. One note, I am using this speaker along with a pair of Genesis Physics I+ and they are damn near a perfect timber match. The Genesis speakers are superb and with this box the sound in this room has gotten deeper. |

Strength:
Quick powerful response, adjustable cross-over, front firing sub.
Weakness:
* Slightly boomy Unfortunately, the company quit making these subs, it is ashamed since these subs provide alot of value. I got his sub from E-bay for $91.00, I can say that it was an exception value! It puts out strong, if not alittle boomy, bass. This makes it a very good home theater sub speaker. It is good but not excellent for music. I am going to try to add insulation and fill it with some acoustic material as posted with other Audiosource subs reviews. This may eliminate some of the boom qualities associated with this sub. Even without this fix, however, it still isn't bad with music, it just could be a little better. I will post again after I perform this fix. Similar Products Used: JBL |
