Strength:

This subwoofer slope seems like a good choice for those looking for a compact and powerful subwoofer with reasonable low-frequency extension.

Weakness:

200W is quite a lot of power for an 8-inch subwoofer, suggesting it can deliver deep bass at moderate volumes.

Strength:

Great amp that I've paired with Focal 1028Be II speakers. Takes the edge off the top end and allowes me to listen to whatever I want for as long as I want with no sign of fatigue. 4 and 8 ohm compatable is nice if I ever end up switching. 2 sets of terminals allows for hooking up 2 sets of speakers. Great if you like to switch or compare 2 sets of speakers. Reno Pro Mobile Mechanic

I bought this subwoofer for my daughters sound system in her bedroom. She has a pair of older Celestion DL-4 which needed a little bass reinforcement. It is a well made sub with a powerful plate amp with some nice features like quality input and output speaker terminals (not plastic) for those recievers without a LFE rca jack. It adds sufficient bottom end to the celestions to make music sound full and reasonably powerful when all adjustments are set flat on the reciever.

The 200 watt amp is more powerful than most subs with an 8" woofer. The woofer is a nice little unit with a rubber surround for long life. The plastic bottom mounted port is a large rectangular deep design with rounded edges to reduce chuffing.

There is not much output below 30hz, but for music it works well. I listened to it for a couple of weeks in my HT system in the livingroom before giving it to my daughter with good results. Watching movies with the volume control @ 12 o'clock it added heft to the bass lines nicely. It won't shake the room like a larger sub but it is comparable to other 8" subs on the market.

This sub would work well for those users looking for a computer subwoofer or 2.1 system subwoofer using small bookshelf speakers in a small to moderate size room 1000 cu ft - 2000 cu ft. I used it with floorstanding and bookshelf speakers and found the smaller bookshelf speakers blended best. It would make a good replacement sub for some of the cheaper HTIB systems out there.

When you over drive it, it takes on a 1 note, boomy quality, but what subwoofer doesn't when over driven. Even though I bought it at a great price I would have spent $200 on it and would not feel guilty.
