WOW! Really brings the low end to life on Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks. This unit is ideal for the LFE channel in a 5.1 setup. Also, very flexible with plenty of inputs/outputs (dedicated LFE input also). Shipping model is now HT-S15A I think (the "A" denotes a few extra inputs). www.jandr.com is the cheapest place, ordered on Saturday, sitting on the porch by Tuesday. |

Strength:
Strong amp, good features
Weakness:
Slighty boomy This is a very good sub. It is really strong from 30 - 70 hz. Above that it is not very happy. It can also sound slightly boomy, but only worry about that if you are an audiophile. It has tons of power and can really rumble down low. I have seen 2 versions of this sub, one front firing and one downward firing. I have the downward firing and it seems to sound clearer. If you put baffling in the 2 huge ports, it makes it sound alot crisper. For the price, an excellent sub. It has a very nice set of features too. Similar Products Used: philips |

Excellent sub. Got offline for about 400 bucks. HAve it in the corner of my basement and it easily rattles the windows and virtually everything else that is not bolted down. Little to no distortion at high levels. Very durable and well built. |

Strength:
Louder than most 200w subs
Weakness:
Slopier than Rockford Fosgate punch, Peaks terrible in upper bass, shallowest sub on shelf(sounds like 40+Hz) This sub is loud but terribly sloppy. If the crossover is raised it is 1 note boom, If it is lowered it sounds weak Similar Products Used: Cambridge Soundworks, JBL, Klipcsh, etc. |
