I bought this sub for $479.99 with a 5 year warranty! I love its low resonantfrequencys. It will reproduce sounds as low as 20hz and has amazing power wattage |

I was looking for a reasonably priced sub to add to my system and was lucky enough to find my KX Sub 2 at $350. Despite it's formidable size, this sub is well worth its floor space! The sub has no problem reproducing very low frequencies for everything from low level music to thunderous movie effects. A great value even at its normal retail price. |

When I was looking for a sub in the 400 dollar price range this one was one of the best I heard. I did a side by side comparison to dcm and velodyne 10inch and 8inch sub. It sound way better than the 8in that was the same price 399.99. It also played lower than the 10in that was 599.99 but the 10 was more clean but that goes with out saying . All in all for 400.00 dollars this is a good sub . |

I don't know how anyone can call themselves an audiophile and praise this speak at the same time.... If these people really were audiophiles, they would have listened to many other speakers out there, and come to the conclusion that DCM is just mass market junk. It's made to play loud with little power cuz that's what the masses want. But where's the music? And if you check out some other speakers, you'll notice that accuracy was not even considered at DCM. |

Strength:
Very smooth bass, goes faily deep. Nice looking enclosure for the money
Weakness:
Bottoms out to easy on HT: needs more power This was my first home sub (I dont consider the bass module in the ams5 (bose) as a sub) and have realy enjoyed it. I personaly like it better runing speaker line in than with the sub in... It bottomed out way to much this way . I now have it in the bedroom (replaced my cT80) and it sounds great. Smaller room helped it out. I dont find the sub boomy in any way personaly..very nice detailed sound. This used to be in my living room..replace sith CT150..of course- no comparison there. Strength:
First of all, this is review for the DCM DC-10 sub which there is no listing for. Great sub for the price, 90watts continous power, 180 max.
Weakness:
None The DC-10 sub is a great sub for the money. For all you out there thinking you have to pay a fortune for a decent sub, you're wrong! My whole theory on it is: First, Find a sub with a quality AMP and build for cheap, secondly; go down to your local car stereo shop and buy a DECENT sub. Go pop that badboy in your home sub with a little polyfill And your bumpin almost as hard as any velodyne. I personaly put a DB CROSSFIRE sub in my DC-10 with the gain around 10'clock@80Hz. and I still can't bump it hard enough! (Actually I could but I'd blow my other speaks in the process), With that said, the DC-10 is the sh*t for the money. Take my advice with almost any sub you buy and you won't be sorry. |
