Strength:
Price, reliability, good sound quality for its price point
Weakness:
No longer available. I have owned this subwoofer since early 2000. 100% reliable. I have it connected to my Yamaha RX-V3000 AV reciever using the standard crossover point. Unit is excellent for DVD movies, the base reproduction is also very good for music including classical. Similar Products Used: Yamaha, Velodyne |

None Wow! The Jamo subwoofer is a wonderful compliment to my audio and video system. Booming base that is easily controlled. I am impressed how much difference a sub makes to all formats of sound. |

Weakness:
Bass I bought a pair of the B&W Matrix 3, just a few weeks ago, and I truely can recommand these speakers to other AudioPhiles like myselfe! They sound incredibly nice. However, if you are looking for party loudspeakers, I wouldn't recommand these. The rest is High-End! I love them. Strength:
Great Bass/depth...volume control
Weakness:
None I've never used a powersubwoofer in my home theater setup. Now I see what I've been missing. After testing subs in stores for a month I finally chose the Jamo sub because of its depth in producing strong bass during movies and music. I haven't tried classical music yet like the reviewer above me. Great price from soundpros.com.... Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Great depth, unbelievable soundwaves, great for HT and dance music.
Weakness:
A little boomy in music (except dance of cource) Great powered sub when it is used for home theatre, make the effects seem real, you feel the explosions all over the place (so does the neighbours too). The sub was meant to acompany 4 B&W 302 (front and rear), a CC3 central all driven by a Sony STR-DB930. The whole thing works great at movies, and for its price its the best sub in the market. If you like classic music you will be a little disapointed as the sub was crearly not made for it, making the sound a little flubby. Similar Products Used: B&W asw 500 |

Strength:
This sub delivers a kockout punch for HT applications.
Weakness:
Performs better in a HT environment than it does for music. After testing M&K an JBL 12 inch subs, I was blown away by the JAMO which was far more responsive at both high and low volumes. |

Weakness:
muddy in demading musical passages Great sub for home theatre, not as great for tunes, but for the price of $220, what can one expect? I have Paradigm Montor 7's up front, Rotel 960AX pre-amp, Parasound HCA-1500A and HCA-1000 (soon to drive a Paradigm cc-350 center) and a Toshiba 1200 DVD. With this system, the base is indeed boomy, although not in a tight way. Gets muddy in complex musical paasages, so I crossed it as low as I could and that has helped. Strength:
Powerfull deep clear base - all a subbie is meant to be!
Weakness:
for home theatre - none I've had the Jamo SW-505E subwoofer for over a year now, the Deep and Powerful base that is produced from this unit is ideal for any Home Theatre, its ability to pump out 100Watts of crystal clear base it rattles everything in my living room without any muddyness or distortion... (the trick is to adjust the Phase and placement). As for regular music anything other than classical totally ROCKS!. Similar Products Used: Boston, JBL |
