Strength:

Deep warm bass without any boominess.

Weakness:

None so far

I had the PB10 for a while which I had to return as it would ocassionally produce a crackling sound. Instead of exchanging it I decided to upgrade to the PB12 as I got a good price on it.

The PB12 has an on off switch which the PB10 does not have and it also goes deeper than the 10. Even though the specs claim a lower limit of 27 Hz for the 10 and 25 Hz for the 12 the difference is audible.

The PB12 is great for music. It produces low deep bass that you can feel without any trace of boominess unless you turn it way up. I had the Infinity BU120 before this and the JBL is waaaaaay better. The BU120 is quite boomy and also has a tendency to blow up! ( BU = Blow up? ).

I'm hoping the amp in this sub woofer does not have the problems the Infinity had. JBL and Infinity use the same amps in many of their subs.

I would definitely recommend this sub. I'm enjoying my music much more now. I live in an apartment and I can now hear and feel the bass without turning up the volume.

Strength:

sounds unbelievable for movies as well as music

Weakness:

none so far

When wanted it can shake the entire apartment, litterally, you can feel it upstairs when cranked and no distortion or that hollow boom sound once set right, (neighbors already hate it) something about it shaking there place to, sucks for them. After watching u-571 and the Matrix I was totally blown away, when the bass hit everyone in the room jaw's dropped. Even when turned down it really rounds out the bottom end. For what I payed i really dont think i could get anything better, for that matter i don't think you can get anything better unless you make a large jump in your price range.

Strength:

Greet tight sound, Sooo Loud, Sooo Deep

Weakness:

Nada

The power this sub puts out is amazing. I would keep it at full power, but it makes pictures in my room fall. The sound is very clear allaround and it is very well constructed.
