Strength:

Its power and price

Weakness:

It did not come with remote and on-off switch is at the back

I was given a good deal from a dealer. It is priced almost $600 CAN elsewhere. I was looking for a decent subwoofer for a long time, but I could not get a deal.

I tried this Sub for almost a month, I did not see the problem as other people said. Their units fried in a month. I just could not believe JBL will make such a bad apple. I had their HS-820 front speakers for almost a year, they are impressive compared to my previous set of speakers. This SUB comes to a good fit to my system and I was stunned by this heavy duty baby.

My wife did not like it in the first place as she is not going for heavy pound for music enjoyment. Then she realized this babe can produce such a nice pounding in watching movie, she finally appreciate why people pay extra for such a box.

I ususlly turn this off when listening to music. I only use it for DVD (Matrix, Saving the private Ryan etc.) It is roaring like earthquake. In fact I have to turn it down to stand up such a fantastic effect as my heart feel heavy pounding.

I also have a Kenwood SW-103, it is OK but I realize that it could not produce low-frequency bass.

According to previous review, people mentioned the hookup instruction is incorrect. This is a possible reason why their units burnt in such a short time.

For mine, I love it very much and it is working to my expectation. JBL is good!!
