Excellent Sound Quality (both music and movies) - Plenty of inputs to choose from and customize to your liking

I went to purchase the PSW 650, and the store I visited was out of stock. They offered me the PSW 1200 at a great savings. I took a day to think about it and went back and purchased it.

This is an excellent sub. There are plenty of inputs, and best of all it sounds great. The best feature is that if you have it hooked to a surround receiver with center-channel out, it will automatically boost the sub level 3 dB for movies. When playing music it will remain at the regular level. With my previous sub, I had to increase the level for movies and decrease the level for music. Now I don't have to adjust the level every time I change sources.

Well...all I have to say is that I am definitely getting me more of these subs!!! If you love home theater and music, PLEASE listen to one of these and see what you think. I have a feeling you won't be disappointed. The build quality of the sub is incredible: wonderful thick rubber surrounds on both 12" drivers, SOLID cabinet construction, and a plethora of inputs and outputs including a selectable high-pass crossover. I tell you, at 800 bucks from Crutchfield.com, you cannot beat the performance. I don't think you can beat the performance of these subs without spending a LOT more money (for multiple subs from the other guys).

Look at it this way: Do you remember the first time you heard a real home theater setup, like the Definitive BP3000 or Polk SRT system? Do you remember the sheer slam of the bass on special effects? Do you remember how you contemplated robbing your local AV store just to get your hands on performance like that? Well, you can have that with the Polk PSW1200. I promise. I am simply thrilled !!

Smooth, deep-bass sound

This is an excellet sub. Not only does it shake the couch, walls and pictures during movies, but it also makes music sound smooth and sweet. From classical, to jazz to reggae and, of course, Jurassic Park, ID4 etc. the PSW-1200 just
rocks on. And it never sounds boomy like most cheaper subs.

Before you plunk down thousands of dollars for allegedly big-buck sound, give this Polk a listen and I am sure you will keep it.
