I have a set of Martin Logan CLSIIz's and found that a stereo set of Storms (no such thing as a II only Storms and Storm III's according to REL) were a perfect match to add the lower end. I have a large volume listening room with 30ft ceilings and wood floors and the Storms really filled the void left by the ML's yet integrated extremely well with the Storms. I found a stereo set to be a better match than a single Stadium since it provided a uniform sound stage. I have mine set to 47Hz with a 10 o'clock position for sound pressure. Very nice indeed and on bass heavy music such as jazz etc. they really shine. I attend the SF Symphony on a regular basis as well as jazz performances and with the CLSIIz's and Storms I have found nirvana!!!!

I have been anti sub for virtually all of my audiohile life. I had placed a depsosit on a pair of Nautilus 805's only after EXTENSIVE auditioning of the REL. Otherwise I would have waited for the 804's.(see my review of the Sonas Faber Concertos for more info).
I now have the Sonas Faber Concertos with the REL Storm. For comparison, the Grand Pionos would be comparable. But the REL out does them. The REL brings a richness and fullness that the Grand pianos only hinted at.

Most importantly the REL dissappears. This was of major concern to me. But after setting up and tweeking it is like it is like they are not there. For fun I will pause my CD, turn off the REL, then hit play. Comparitly speaking without the REL the Sonas sound like AM raidio. And these are great spekers.

To comment on the pervius post, I puchased the Storm to $1350. I found that pretty much everyone os selling for around that range. If I had to pay the "Suggested Retail of $1600, I would have most certainly givin the Strata a go.

Strength:

Solid bass without any trace of boominess.

Weakness:

None, really

My REL has make a dramatic improvement to a really
fine 2 channel audio system. I run it from 55HZ and
down, while my Magnepan 2.7R's run full range. The
sound in my large (24ft by 15ft by 9ft high) living
room is superb. Makes me wonder what two REL'S would
sound like.....a steal at $1500.
