Strength:
Look OK OK for sound effects (movies) but NOT for SACD OR DVD-A
Weakness:
Everything except above. $400.00 speaker for a grand what a deal! Ok for mid to low end setup. But they suck if you are running high power to the rears/sides. Polk says they should be set to small, what a joke for a flagship speaker. Polk must think you only need to hear half the program from the side channels. Might as well go back to Pro Logic! Worthless for SACD and DVD-A. They went up in smoke as soon as started a track from a DVD-A which is a little hard on the side channels. Back they go!!!! The impedance is also too low for most receivers and may burn out channels. They are rated at 4ohm but I am sure they go down much lower at higher volumes. As my Pioneer VSX Elite 49tx shut down as soon as I started to turn them up. Had to switch to a Bryston 4b to give them the current they need for such low impedance. What happened to POLK they once made a pretty good product? Like the SRS line! Little chince one the drivers but overall a great product!
