Price, simple to install/use, overall sound.

Not very good high range sound production.

I bought this for a small bedroom system. I do sales at a large electronic retailer, looked and listened to many systems. For the price and simplicity this one is unbeatable. The sound is quite impressive, although the highs arn''t very clear due to no tweeters in the midranges. I replaced my front speakers with a set of 30 dollar bookshelfs that give it more tweet.

Reads like stereo instructions-a little fuzzy in the manual-could use a CD for set up. Remote is slightly confusing as well.

I'm not a total audiophile and I don't know if I have it set up right after almost 2 months. These are user problems, not the product's. Although, Sony could use some help in writing better instruction manuals. Could use an instructional CD. Remote is slightly confusing as well.

Anyone looking for a reasonable receiver and theater system, go no further. Add a good DVD with a killer movie and soundtrack, make some popcorn, sit back and be the movie!
