bought mine in 1999. It went through a divorce, storage in a shed, in and out of two phycho GF homes--it s still ticken :) Afr 10 years I was hoping it would kick over so I can buy an updated led etc. But not happening--so I am breaking down and buying a new bulb to see how much more i can pull out of it. Truly, the tv sales guy at circuit city told ne how dlp was only good for a couple years-- hmmmm, salesman. |

Strength:
very bright in all corners. Component video input, many extra features
Weakness:
if u move 2-3 feet up or down the picture will dim slightly. I was going to buy the Toshiba HDTV because it had the nicest picture by far at any angle...but i was watching a movie... Similar Products Used: I compared it to the Toshiba 55 HDTV and the Sony. |

Strength:
Picture Sharpness/Brightness and the large viewing angle great for Living rooms of any size
Weakness:
Speakers are not as good as full Home theater setup. I would have to say that dollar for dollar this is the best set that can be purchased outside of the Digital or HDTV catagories. The Quality of picture that this set produces outproduces any others in its class including Sony, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi. The magic focus can save you a lot of money as well in the long run instead of paying someone to come and adjust the Guns in the TV. Similar Products Used: Sony XBR and Toshiba Theater view TV's |

Strength:
Picture Quality before 1 year
Weakness:
Picture quality after one year The tv worked perfect out of the box. One year later I noticed the blue was a bit blury, so I called Hitachi and they send a Tecnician (which I found out was the owner of the shop) and he came in my house and tried to fix it by adjusting the video level settings from the remote. He started telling me how my picture should look. I'm thinking, this guy thinks I'm some shmuck who has no idea about televisions and basicly, he insulted my video inteligence! |

Strength:
Picture, features, 1000 line resolutions. I was lucky enough to get this TV at a very good price. I could resist to buy it. In the same class, it has much better resolutions. It's a lot of fun using it to watch DVD movies and play video games. I hooked it up with my Denon AVR 3300 along with my infinity speakers. |

Strength:
Picture clearaty, good looking cabinet, all the a/v/s ports you need, component inputs, front panel a/v/s inputs
Weakness:
Remote will not work Starchoice DSS componants. Menus obscure almost all of the viewing screen. I will make this short and sweet. In my humble opinion this set is by far " best in class ". Similar Products Used: My first RPTV. Looked at Sony, Toshiba, RCA. |
