Strength:
Great picture and sound.
Weakness:
No component video inputs I have had this television for more than a year and I am still amazed by the fantastic picture quality. I have only seen one other projection T.V. that has matched the quality of the Hitachi's picture, that's a very high end Pioneer Elite set that cost twice as much. This Hitachi's picture when watching a dvd is so good that It rivals many smaller tube televisions. I'm totally satisfied with this set eventhough it's not digital ready and doesn't have component video inputs. I still have not seen a better projection T.V. for anywhere near the price of this set. It's a great bargain and a great television. Similar Products Used: magnavox, sony |

Strength:
Excellent overall performance with S input and coaxial
Weakness:
only 1 input for HDTV I bought this TV in June and was very impressed until recently when I purchased the RCA-DTC100 and a converter for HDTV. I noticed thin lines when viewing HDTV. I called Hitachi and a local dealer and new boards were ordered for my unit no problem. Well It has been since July and there are still not any signs of Hitachi shipping these boards to my local repair store. Similar Products Used: Sony Wega |

I bought this unit about 2 weeks ago as a refurbished unit on Ebay. I couldn't be more happy. I paid 1650.00 for the unit and also purchased a 3 tear extended warranty. I dont know if he will sell more at this price but if you want to contact him it is www.crazygideon.com The picture is unbelievable for a projection unit especially from a dvd or satelite source. I have it hooked through a Denon AVR-3200, a Toshiba 3109 DVD, Energy Take 5's w/ 8 inch sub and quality cables throughout. Highly recommend. If you have any questions e-mail me. |

Strength:
Large screen, great picture
Weakness:
digital jigieness when viewing satalite If you are considering buying this TV I would say it is worth the money. However, I would consider the other reviews here as untruthful or misleading as I believe they've posted reviews for the wrong model TV. First off, This TV is NOT a digital TV. Second, it is NOT HDTV ready so a HDTV decoder would be useless! Third, it DOES in fact have component video imputs. I use them on mine and it makes a huge difference. be sure to use good cable, though. To the other reviewers; Please take note of the correct model no. of your TV before posting. |

I know this site is for the 60sbx, I am posting here for the 53sbx since there is no site for that model. I bought the 53sbx last month and let me tell you, it is one GREAT projection Tv. Excellent picture from just 9ft away. Most projection sets recommend at least 12ft away for satisfactory picture. Built in screen protector. Dolby Pro-logic surround sound. Tv speakers can be used as center channel. 60w output. Input for subwoofer. 3A/V inputs each with its on S-input and A/Vinput with S-input on front. Excellent build quality. Digital comb filter and automatic convergence corrector. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY.......Retail for $2700, I got this baby at local circuit city for $1900.... |
