I received this unit free from someone that did not want to get it fixed. Being an electronics tech, I figured it might be something easy to repair, like a fuse or something. One of the boards needed to be replaced and it cost $850. It was still a good deal at the time. The TV has performed very well since it was repaired over two years ago. The picture is sharp & the sound very good. The last Mitsubishi TV I had lasted over 20 years when other big screens were only lasting 8 or 10 years.
