Strength:
Picture, inputs, (enough 4 me), sound was okay but if you got the money go DTS or Digital...picture.
Weakness:
Off axis viewing kinda weak, bright light tends to wash out the picture. Maybe I sit too close, about 8 feet away...I like to change the picture modes without entering a menu i.e. cinema, vivid, etc. As the others said, when it was side by side with the other major brands in the store, it was definitely a better picture. I did like the JVC next however, kinda suprised me. I guess I would recommend the product, I remember waaaay back when Panasonic first came out with the first (!) Panablack flat tube t.v. I wanted one then, but glad I got this one. Similar Products Used: Sony Wega 32 and 36 inch. Looked at all major brands, sorry Sony! |

Strength:
Price and the brand. Parents have a Panasonic Projection tv and never had a problem for over 6 years. Friends have a Sony triniton and it sucks big time compare with any PTV. I have a Sony triniton monitor and it broke down 3 times.
Weakness:
Remote lacks style but can be replace. Like all widescreen, the chance of burn-in. PT56WX52 Picture quality is great-sharp and clear. I compared this set with all other major brands with the same size, side by side. Panasonic was by far the best. Given the price I couldn't resist. When use with progressive scan dvd player it is unimagable (also purchase panasonic sfx1030). Sound is great alone, but would recommend Home theathre speakers to complement this tv (I purchased Acoustic research HC6). Similar Products Used: I would buy plasma tv if I had the money to spend. |

Strength:
GREAT High Def picture, better than JVC, Sony and Toshiba and barely less than Mits quality. Good styling. Decent remote. Can't beat the price!
Weakness:
No DVI or Firewire inputs are the only ones so far. After doing months of research on several models including the Toshiba's, Sony's, JVC's and Mits I found the Panasonic to be the best bang for the buck! Believe me I spent months researching before I bought. The picture in High Def is unbelieveable. Watched GA beat up on Tech and couldn't take my eyes off the screen! Progressive scan DVD's are very impressive. I strongly suggest giving this TV a strong look before buying! Using Sony DRB940 Receiver, Sony 715 Progressive Scan DVD, Samsung Set Top HDTV Tuner, Echostar Sat Receiver (going to upgrade to Model 6000 when more channles become available) and Paradigm Speakers. Everything connected via Monster cables. |
