Strength:

1. HD/ crystal clear. All 65inches 2. Direct tv intergrated 3. Nice looking cabinet. 4. Easy of use, simple 5. Speakers, nice sound. Very nice. 6. FOR THE MONEY, NOTHING COMES CLOSE.

Weakness:

1. no video out, problem if you record tv shows. But i dont. 2. gray bars on side, the reason for gray, is its safer for the tv. 3. only 3 setting for tv pic. size - 16x9-3/4 or full. Wish they had more. 4. wish you could use some of the space below the screen. Its a cover for the speakers.

I reviewed the tosh./mits/sony. For the price range the other tv's didnt come close. This TV is wonderful, Hidef is amazing, almost 3d. The tv cabinet is very nice to look at, a little cheap on the back side, plastic....but it does make it lighter to move. It has wheels, so one person can adjust the position. The Direct tv intergrated make set up easy. Off air antenna hd is clear, currently pick up 6 local chanels. This tv will shine with a good source but if the source is poor, you will notice it.

Strength:

Clarity, price/quality ratio

Weakness:

DirectTV reciever should be optional

SWEET! As per the other reviews, this one definately jumps out of the crowd. Being a brand new owner, the novelty and overall grandeur impare my ability to find many faults in the picture quality and sound. My only beef is in the DirectTV reciever. With all the lawsuits and complaints by the other satelite providers preventing the legal use of it here, it is an addition I could have stood not to pay for. Rumor has it that they are looking at taking it out and replacing it with extra input connections and the aforementioned output connections. I agree the grey lines on the side are a distraction, but are a small price to pay considering all else. Price wise, VERY impressed. A comparable Sony, which didn't have the DirectTV or PIP among other things, was pushing the $9000 cdn mark. Overall, nicely done RCA.

Strength:

Great picture, Beautiful picture and the best picture.Nice different design,It really stands out.

Weakness:

No video output.

I am yet to see a HD projection tv that looks this good and that is the reason why I bought it. It is the most detailed image out there and when compared with my brother's Mitsubishi, the difference is day and night in favor of the RCA.

I must confess that I never liked the RCA name brand before and I had never bought a tv that wasn't a Sony XBR but this tv has a quality to it that changed my mind.

I understand when people complain about the aspect ratio modes and so forth but this is a widescreen tv and everything else is a compromise, if you want a perfect 4:3 ratio picture you have to buy a 4:3 screen tv and that is the plain truth. This is a widescreen tv and is intended for that purpose if people look fat, you bought the wrong tv.

What I like about this tv is the ability to produce a wonderful picture out of every single dvd you put on your dvd player, not even with a progressive player the picture many times looks awsome.

The lack of a video output bothers me, How I am suppose to record from this tv without a signal coming from it, an unforgivable oversight that I keep recenting.

When I play my Sony digital camera on this tv everything looks bright and solid, not to mention colorful, I really like the way my home videos are rendered.

Also remember that you get an HD decoder and a direct tv receiver built in the unit and that for me is a winner, the notion that a seperate receiver is better can be discarted, my brother's Mits with its seperate receiver can not compare in picture quality with the RCA SCENIUM.

Direct tv looks like usual, sometimes great and sometimes bad -depending on programing. High Definition is where this tv takes flight, after watching a couple of hour on HD net, there's no going back..WOW.

To resume this incomplete review I must say that you need a lot of convincing to do, to make me change my mind that this is the best looking projection tv out there in high definition, If you want a good 4:3 picture you can always go to your local Best Buy and get the special of the week.

Strength:

Great Picture! best I have seen! Very stylish, looks better than standard black box projection TVs.

Weakness:

Gray side bars when viewing standard signals. Should have black side bars.

The RCA Scenium 65 inch TV has excellent picture quality, even when viewing old VHS movies or standard TV. The cabinet looks great although it does not offer any means of stacking components on top of it. I am now hooked on its cabinet design over that of a standard black box TV. Controls are easy to use and the sound is excellent. I do wish that it had more options for strecthing the video on the wide screen. My DVD player does take care of most of the 16:9 widescreen formatting but I do run into a few DVDs that I cannot fit correctly.
