the open back of the tv and no vaccum ports.

I would like people to know that this tv does not mix well with pets. We have been told that the pet hair does get sucked into the tv and can cause problems. We have had the tv break 2 times and the second time where we can't use it anymore. It almost went n fire the second time. I think that if you spend this much money on a tv it should last longer than 2 years.

The picture was great. When hooked up to surround sound the sound was great also. It was compact and just the right size for a small room.

We were told that if you have animals that this is not the greatest t.v. because the fans pull the hair into the tv.

My husband and I owned the t.v. for 6 months when samsung had to come out and replace the (mechanics) inside of the t.v because the picture had gone black and the fan warning came on. So then 1 year later the same thing happens except that this time the tv smells like it is on fire and it is making a crackling noise and a loud pop. When we called samsung we were out of warranty 1 month. They are sending someone out to "look at it and diagnose it" then they will decide if they are going to pay to have it fixed. When going to ciruit city to purchase another T.V. the person that we spoke to said that they don't know why samsung didn't recall this model because they have had a lot of trouble with this model.

When you are in waranty fine but if you are out of waranty you are out of luck unless you call and make sure that you are talking to the right people.
