Remote's layout I purchased mine from JandR for $1284 plus shipping. I was very skeptical at first because Samsung rear projection TVs are very hard to find. Before I purchased it I did view it and compared it to the Toshiba, Sony and Phillips Magnavox. To my surprise the quality was as very good if not better then the others. The viewing angle was very large. It has a one touch video brightness button which will let you switch between "Mild", "Standard", and "Custom" modes allowing you to easily change the brightness of the TV to best suit your room needs. The audio quality is outstanding, and does a excellent job of simulating surround sound. Best of all, for those of you who don't have a big room, it is not very deep. The unit comes with two tuner PIP. 2 S-Video or Composite video in and 1 Composite video in 3 Audio in and 1 AV out |

Strength:
Split screen, 2-tuner PIP, Reliable, Has a lot of inputs and outputs
Weakness:
Not sold in many places, hard to find some place to fix it. I must say that this television is very good for the price. I have rented it and now I own it. When I first saw it in the rental company's building, I knew from that moment that that was the television for me. I got it from DVD and More for only $1263.50 including shipping. It is still working well and if you are in the market for a projection television, this is the one you should get. |

While there are probably better projection televisions available, the Samsung PCH521R has the best price/performance ratio I've seen. The prices on these are all over the place; I bought mine for a total of $1390 including shipping, but I see them commonly at $1500-1600, and even as high as $1999 (for that price, you can probably buy a better set!). |

Very good picture
Weakness:
TV cabinet makes cracking and snapping noises during the night as the house cools down. Overall I have been very happy with this tv. It worked flawlessly for almost two years but now has some convergence issues in the upper right hand area of screen. I purchased an extended warranty but when the service people came out they didn't have the right service code to get into the convergence adjustment mode and the fiddling that they did do left the color adjustment a little bit off. They haven't returned and I haven't contacted them again. I will probably get the service manual from Sam's and try to adjust myself. Similar Products Used: This is my first big screen. |

Beautiful picture for bigscreen, nice cabinet, easy setup
Weakness:
The stand was an extra 150$ I shopped my buns off for a year looking for the perfect set, and I always kept coming back to this one. It is absoloutly the best picture if you take size, and price into consideration. I almost bought the 32 inch WEGA which also is a beautifull set but it was the same price, and I would have to sacrifice 11 inches. I have a Kenwood sound around system, and a JVC dvd player and they all work well in perfect harmony. Similar Products Used: Hitachi 32 |
