Strength:
Price, transition set, "HDTV Compatible"
Weakness:
Only one HD component input This set really shines on DVD playback through the HD component input. Is it the best? No, but if you spend most of your time watching NTSC, this set is hands down the best compromise on a RPTV. As stated in other reviews, if you have crappy cable or other poor input sources, this set will show you every bit of it. I have crappy cable (Charter Communications) and will soon switch to DirecTV for a better input source - hopefully. This set should provide a nice transition to HDTV. Can't wait for Sony's SAT-HD100 box. Similar Products Used: First projection TV |

Strength:
great picture w/ normal cable and unreal picture w/ a progressive scan DVD
Weakness:
audio Looking around for a time comparing HDTV's for price and picture, I kept coming back to this one. It was just hard to find one in stock anywhere. Had to wait 3 weeks for the one I have now. Picture is really good. I don't seem to have any of the problems listed by users above at this time. I have purchased a DTS audio system because the built in speakers aren't up to par w/ the screen. Make sure when you get this TV that you get a proressive scan DVD like the tosh 5109. Use the HD input for the DVD. Unreal picture! All in all, if you can pick one up +/-3k, Similar Products Used: old RCA 51" |

Strength:
clarity, reasonable price for the size.SONY name a must for Asian customer
Weakness:
little soft on color and volume. Too much glare from the screen saver. pretty good picture quality for a big screen size. Easy to move around. Flash focus did a fair job for convergence. Remote is friendly user. But after hook up to a DVDO v2 with a proscan dvd the picture is unbeatable. Amazing how a little DVDO make a different. Don't spend your money to buy progressive scan dvd just hook it to the DVDO and enjoy. My super vhs look better than any regular dvd. Sorry this might be a review for DVDO hehehe.
