where should I start.

This piece of junk was less than three years old. Icalled a so-called "Sony repair center. They charged me $150.00 and basically did nothing. So I called Sony and they did even less. The repair center wanted $500.00 a tube to "maybe" fix the problem. Went and brought a panisonic. To bad Sony I will never own one of your products again and will tell anyone who will listen about your lousy service.

Silver cabinet WAF is bad.

This is really one great TV.After the adjustment period from years of watching a regular tube tv;i don't think you can go back.With just regular comcast cable the picture is very good to excellent.DVD's are just like being at a movie theatre.The flash focus feature seems to work very well and the sound is surprisingly good(although i do have a very good Snell home theater setup i use for movies and concert DVD's).I had all the usual concerns about a rear projector(off angle viewing,burn in,room light conditions);but this TV has exceeded all my expectations and then some.This unit gives you a wide viewing area;very good internal sound;and a brilliant picture even with just regular cable.I find the remote easy to use also.Will be getting high def box soon;and have seen high def on this unit a friend has and the picture quality is stunning.If your looking rear projection take a good hard look at this Sony....it's tremendous.

I have been the victim of 2 previous model flickering sets. After searching the web for reviews on the 510, I found nothing bad. I am very pleased with this new set. Better picture than the hs500 and ws500. "Out of the box" it looked great and just when I thought I was in the clear, the set looked even better after the break-in period. For all those with old flicker problems, I suggest you ask Sony or your dealer to replace your problem set with the 510.

Great picture w/ use of Satellite

The viewing angles can be tough, especially with some back lighting...

I had purchased the previous years model, prior to knowing all the Fluttering and Hue problems associated with the KP51WS500. I was hoping my unit did not have any of these problems, however since this was a display unit, I thought the salespeople would have seen this problem, which was not caught until I had it delivered and found out within a day that this was a problem on my set. So now I have the new model year and it is a huge difference in quaility. The hue is perfect and there is no "fluttering", now I know this is still fairly new, however I have not heard any bad reviews from other sites on this TV. I just am at the point of break-in and will it have it adjusted by the professional....
