Strength:
The size is awesome, the brightness and contrast are excellent. 100Hz reduces the amount of flicker quite considerably. Wide viewing angle. 4:3 to 16:9 conversion for normal TV is not as squashed as some other TV's I've seen. Price is very low for such a large screen.
Weakness:
Reflective screen can get a bit annoying. There's only 1 RGB input on AV1 (AV2/AV3 are non RGB) Sound quality is a bit muffled if it's on its own. Grey bars down the side of 4:3 pictures are slightly distracting/take getting used to. Superb price/quality value. This is probably the biggest screen for the amount of cash. Coupled with a decent DTS capable DVD and Surround Amp this TV comes into its own |

Strength:
Great picture, light, Fast teletext, Naviguide
Weakness:
No PIP, no room light sensor, no high input for center channel The 52RW65ES is technically identical to 53RW64E. Only change is the "Scenium" product line coloring (Silver). The picture above is of the 52RW64E. Similar Products Used: Siemens FS275 29" |

Strength:
The Thomson Scenium 44RW65ES rear projection television offers superb 44-inch widescreen images. It boasts superb colours, intense contrast levels, great fluidity of motion and stable images - without flicker. It has a wide viewing angle, and can handle a variety of picture formats, without visible loss of detail. As well as amazing picture quality, it also has incredible sound, thanks to a Virtual Dolby decoder, and more than enough connections for home theatre applications. All this is packed into a very stylish design.
Weakness:
Nothing yet The RP Scenium is a rear projection extra-large television that is literally like having a movie theater in your house. The big screen (133 centimeters) and the big sound provide the same kind of intensity that, until now, you could only experience in the cinema. Your senses and your emotions will be completely captivated and you can finally reproduce that "lose yourself in the story" experience in your own living room. The RP Scenium must be seen to be believed: the picture is perfectly stable, with greater detail and better contrast than any other product in its range. You will also benefit from the full effect of Dolby ProLogic sound, as the set is equipped with 4 subwoofers, a bass reflex and surround speakers. There are, as well, a number of user-friendly features that it make it almost better than the movies: you can zoom in on a shot, you can find out what is being broadcast on other channels with the Picture in Picture function, and you can see what program is on next with the Program Info function. Size man!
Weakness:
It's heavy and I live on the second floor. :-) This is just great. I love It. Should have bought it a long time ago! Combine with a great surround-system and you're on a roll. |

Strength:
Excellent lightning ability, as crystal clear as can be expected from 52". Lots of connections on the back, lots of space for a center speaker on top. OK sound, nice text-tv features, RGB compatible and.... THE RIGHT SIZE !!
Weakness:
Very sensitive for light in the room. Switching between picture formats not always perfect The size of the picture is truely breathtaking and combined with a lot of power from the projektors, the picture is nothing but excellent. Is is very easy to operate although the remote could be better. A major advantage is the possibility to switch between 100 Hz and 50 Hz. The sound is OK, but not good enough to justify the graphic equalizer. The sub in the console is nothing worth. Similar Products Used: Saba 34" CTV |
