Purchased T.V. after spending past 5 months looking at other brands , models and makes . (spent alot longer looking just not ready to buy , they went reasonably priced till now !! ) Could have spent alot more money on name brand but put some of that towards good protection and sevice plan . Have friend that has had 47 in 780p proscan for 1 1/2 years with no trouble and still has good picture color and quality . The picture is great from almost any angle (other than spongebob ,too bright from side on whites) Has plenty of different jacks and good features . Has good response time . Looks of exterior sharp nice black high gloss finish doesn't look cheap like some of biggger name brands . This is 1080p for less than all of smaller 720p where . Childern love this thing . Got mine on closeout at Sears for $799 after looking at all stores in person for a week , looking at returns ,open box , store closings . Has better picture quality and features of most in price range to around $1800 . The only brand that I liked better was Sony but would have been about $700 more after tax and warranty was more expensive by $111 due to price increase . Purchased good computer with 64bit quad core , 8gig ram 750 gb HD and graphics card and 22in monitor with that money to hook-up to so I guess I can live with out the Sony .
