This Product is new for 2004. The Manufactured Date on my Plasma TV was January 2004. As a Third Generation plasma tv this is the only 42" tv Toshiba has advertised for the meantime. Besides the ADVANTAGE TOSHIBA features this tv has it also has its Convenience benefits such as Theater Link, Direct Video Inpt Selection, Quick Connect Guide , Game Timer and others. The PlasmaBuyingGuide reviewed this TV as picture quality comparable to the Sony Wega which is more pricy. Nevermind the format wars between DVI and HDMI cable interconnects as long as I am enjoying ESPNHD on its full Digital glory in my Family Room.
