Strength:
Big picture in a small room
Weakness:
none I have read the review of the Sony and the Sharp. I actually have the model 55. Which is a step up from the 37 (mainly lens shift and brighter outout). The reason I chose this projector over the Sony was the focal length. The Sharp will throw a much larger picture from a given distance than the Sony. So if your room isn't very deep the Sharp will fill a larger screen. I have used this projector to do a great home theater in a very small space (8' x 12') with an 84' screen. At this size the screen is almost wall to wall. This gives you something approaching the movie theater experience. As far as pixels go the Sharp is a good match for DVD or satelite with 480 lines of vertical resolution. With an internal line doubler it does a good job. For those complaining about pixels they basically dissappear after a few minutes, and are less than the horzontal scan lines of a large RPV or CRT projector without an expensive line doubler. I have had my unit for about 3 years and have shown dozens of movies to friends, none have ever said that the pixels were a distractions, most just say WOW!
