Weakness:
none thus far Although not as sharp as the sony, i must admit that jvc did an excellent job with this particular television set. After having to return my sony because of a horizontal line distortion, i decided to pick one of these up, considering the price. I didn't think it would be necessary to have the PIP that the 32D500 has, thus saving me a hundred or so dollars. After a short chat with a sales adviser at Circuit City, i took advantage of the "no risk" service and took it home. That night, I rented "Saving Private Ryan" and was throughly pleased with the sheer clarity of the picture. I have not seen any single set in the $600 price range that even compares with the 32D200's picture quality. I was simply astounded. Also, the hypersurround, and various other onscreen menues were critical in my home theater system. This television's definitely a keeper. Similar Products Used: Sony XBR Vega |

Strength:
Good price compared to similar high quality products
Weakness:
none so far I've shoped around a great deal, comparing the equivalent in Sony and all other good quality sets, and for the price the D series from JVC is out standing, excellent picture, easy to use remote, nice sound, even if i usually use my home theater system! I recomend it to all!!! Similar Products Used: don't know the specific model, but digital class sets |

Strength:
A high quality off-air tuner, very good picture quality, component video input, reasonably good sounding speakers, decent remote, very good value.
Weakness:
No rabbit ears. Really, just joking...kind of. Lack of PAL display capability (an almost universal weakness of TVs designed for the U.S. market. Can't compensate for bad television writing. To clarify. I actually bought a JVC AV-32d201, which is the successor to the av-32d200. Similar Products Used: 20" RCA TV. |

Strength:
Picture, Componet video input, 800 lines, Flat screen and User picture preset.
Weakness:
Could use one more video input. I looked at a lot of TVs and settled on the JVC becouse of two things componet video input and 800 lines of resolution. DVD is picture perfect after some calibrations with a set up DVD like Avia. With 800 lines of resolution this TV is a great computer monitor for playing games. I recomend this TV to anyone who wants to get the most out of there DVD player and to anyone who has a Voodoo 3 video card and plays computer games. Similar Products Used: RCA 27" (don't by an RCA) |
