Strength:

Clean Picture, Front s-video inputs, clean sound from the speakers and sleek design.

Weakness:

Nothing expect I could have used a extra component video out.

I've been in the market looking for a new television for the last month and desicide to either get the panasonic or sony. Looking at the display models at Best buy the Panasonic looked a lot cleaner. Looking at the tv during regular cable programs is good, but you don't see how good the television really is until you tune. I used avia. After I adjusted all the picture settings I used to movies, Shrek, and The Fifth Element on Superbit. The picture on this television is amazing. This is the best non HDTV you can purchase on the market. I recently brought some monster component video cables for so I'm sure it will probaly look even better. One last thing with my discount I got a 4 year at home service warrenty for $11. You just can't beat that.

I purchased this unit to replace a 20" NEC stereo monitor(still kicking after 16 yrs).I looked at Monitors by Proton & Loewe. But when compared to this unit the price didn't seem justified. When I got the unit home I noticed an alignment problem on one of the cable stations.Panasonic Service came within the week and corrected the problem. This is a great monitor for the money.Plenty of inputs and outputs(3) one input on the front.Great picture when used with the component input and a DVD.Once I had used the AVIA disk,I was totally blown away with the vivid colors and clear sharp details very good blacks & perception of depth.Slighty less so with my cable signal(not the T.V.'s fault).I hope this set lasts as long as my old workhorse :-)

Strength:

Great pic sharpness, and quality... Even the speakers sound good for what they are...

Weakness:

Not enough memory in the channel log... But then again who cares?

A the time I was looking at TV''s I was into Sony... As I went in and was on my way to blow my income tax check :-) I came across this T.V. WOW!!!! They had it hooked up to a DVD player on S-Video... I was amazed and Sony went out of the picture... Now it''s hooked to component, and the clarity is even mre incredible... I am very happy with the design and the graphite gray it works very well in the room...

The other reviews give you a pretty good idea of the TV. I am more than happy with the picture, and use my audio receiver for the sound, however, I have several minor problems with this TV. I was annoyed that the TV only allowed me to label up to 30 channels. I happen to like that feature and thought it was cheap of Panasonic to limit the labeling to 30. What''s the big deal? My Magnavox DVD player is not supported by the universal remote. There seems to be very few DVD player manufacturers listed in the setup list. Other than that, I think the TV is great. I bought the Panaonic because it really was the only one that fit in my current entertainment center. The Sony was a bit too high, I think an inch. The rest were much larger.

Strength:

Leaving the customer holding the bag.

Weakness:

Panasonic customer service and product.

The television was awesome for almost 3 months. It died 2 days prior to the 90 day warrenty. Panasonic told me that if I didn''t get it into a repair shop prior to that 90 days I was S.O.L. - that left a very bad taste in my mouth. I had it in for repairs, and now it dies every 12 days following the repair job. Panasonic is just sitting on it and doing nothing about it situation. Good Guys are taking care of my problem now.

Strength:

Great picture. Crisp, clean bright colors. Great design.

Weakness:

Remote is a little cheap and there is no 16:9 compression.

I just bought this TV, and let me say that it is worth every penny. I was deciding between the Panasonic and the Sony KV-27FS13 and I am so glad that I went with the Panasonic. Both models were side by side on display, and you could see the superior picture quality that the Panasonic had over the Sony. Everyone raves about the Sony Wega TV''s but I really don''t know why. Panasonic has been a brand leader and it really shows with this TV. Colors are so rich and pure and when you play a DVD through component cables you will be absolutley amazed. An amazing TV!! Highly recommended.

Strength:

Excellent picture quality, front inputs, flat screen, easy on the eyes.

This television was a big trade up from the RCA unit it replaced. The RCA was one of those which had a bad solder joint in it - class action suit - RCA gave me 50 bucks toward another RCA TV - it's in the trash with the crappy TV. Was amazed at the picture quality of this flat screen. Was initially worried about buying a flat screen unit after reading reviews on the net about bad picture geometry (especially Sony - maybe just because of the volume of flats they sell). Some people have trouble with screen tilt, and I did too initially. This was a display unit and I checked it out in the store for tilt - just tune to a channel with scrolling text at the bottom. Looked fine and was discounted - I was sold. Got it home, set it up, and the screen was tilted! Luckily Panasonic provides an adjustment for this in the menu setup - now all is well.
Great TV for the money.

Strength:

Picture especially when using DVD

Purchased yesterday at Circuit City. Besides doing some investigating on the internet and magazines, I compared the Panasanic 27SX11 to the Sony 27FS13 at Circuit City. The Panasonic and Sony had similar picture quality and in my opinion the Panasonic had a better picture. The only thing the Sony had additional was the 16:9 compression which I did not observe. Out of the box using analog cable the pic was very good. I did some adjustments using the menu. I'm planning to purchase the Avia disk to make futher adjustments. Later I watched Pearl Harbor on DVD (S-Video)and it was excellent. One day I'll purchase component cables. DVD pic definitely better than cable. Using cable sound was good and of course DVD through my audio system was great! I've only used this TV less than a day but my family and I are very happy with it. I also purchased the Circuit City three year extended service plan for $75. I called Panasonic about their plan and it cost $175 for three years and $121 for two years, discounted 10% since I just purchased the TV.
