Purchased for a good price. Great tv, for a while. Started getting fuzzy, picture distorting and cutting on the sides. After 3 attempts at repair, the tech said he will not come back. Panasonic told me to go to another service provider for 3 more tries. If they can't fix it, I will have to send it to there factory for repair!!. Tv has been broken for about 2 months now. Bought it 5 months ago. Panasonic does not give refunds. Be warned!! Do not expect

Excellent picture quality. Small footprint compared to other 32 in. models. Audio output to reciever great to avoid having to switch audio sources on recieve when changing inputs. Channel/input naming capability.

Darn humming noise.

When I went out looking for a TV, I had a list of things that I was looking for. 1) Image size 2) Picture Quality 3) 2 or more A/V inputs (one component for DVD and one s-video for SAT). I did not need great sound, since I would be hooking this up to a HTS anyway. When I went out looking, I saw several sets that were candidates including models from Sony, Toshiba and JVC. This television had excellent picture quality using s-video signal from satellite as well as component from DVD player. I do not use any other video signals, so this is all that is important to me. The picture was as good if not better than a similar model from Sony, and the set was significantly less expensive. All in all this is an excellent television. I have noticed that the television gives off a small hum that is quite annoying if listening a extremely low volumes, but is not really a big deal at normal listening levels.

Missing some features Sound could be better

Bought as a floor model from a Circuit City that had been open less than 2 weeks. Superb 32" non-HDTV set, excellent picture. To fully appreciate the picture, make sure you have a quality DVD player with component connection. Sound quality is acceptable, could be better. Lacks some features I'd expect in a high-end set, such as auto clock setting and auto channel ID. Regardless, if you're after a great picture at a great price, this is the set for you

-Component Video Input. -Separate picture settings for each video input (so my Playstation, DVD, and DSS can all be set differntly.) -Dual Tuner PIP great for keeping track of two sports at once.

-This TV could use one more S-Video input on the back panel. -May not have a long life since HDTV is quite near on the horizon.

I got this TV at closeout price of $800. While still quite expensive for an analog 32" TV, when compared to other flat screens by Sony and Sharp, I preferred the picture quality of the Panasonic. Also great about the Panasonic is the small cabinet. The other TV's I looked at would not fit in my built-in TV shelf with my center channel speaker on top. The Panasonic was a perfect fit size wise. I am having a little trouble getting used to the larger screen size (compared to my old 25" TV), but I'm sure I will get used to it. Panasonic's factory presets for color/tint/brightness/picture did not suit my tastes so I ran the THX video test on my X-Men DVD. I ended up lowering the Picture control from 63 to 53 and increasing the Brightness from about 30 to 40. I adjusted the color and tint only slightly from the factory presets. I can't comment on the TV's internal speakers since I listen to everything through my Kenwood receiver and 5.1 Klipsch speaker setup. I really think this Panasonic TV will serve me well for the next few years until HDTV takes over. Right now, the limited HD programming, cost of new HDTV's, and unproven technology steered me away from high def for the time being. Most of the HDTV's I viewed in stores looked great with high def programming, but quite poor with regular signals. The cost and inconvenience of switching over my DSS equipment to HD at this time seemed prohibitive. I also could only afford a standard 4:3 HDTV, and I think to do high definition justice, you really need a 16:9 aspect ratio. Otherwise, you are wasting so much of the screen since you would be viewing all HD programming in "letterbox" format on a 4:3 TV. While I was quite impressed with the 42" projection Widescreen Toshiba 42H81 at only about $1600, I was appauled by the picture when not in high definition. High Definition makes projection TV's watchable, but with a regular signal, projection is as bad as ever. Since almost all of my viewing is done on standard satellite, I wanted something that was sure to look good now. I have a feeling that in 3 or 4 years, a 34" or 40" widescreen direct view TV will drop down to a much more reasonable price as the technology improves and becomes more commonplace. Until then, I'll make do with my Panasonic CT-32SX31 quite happily.

Great picture, Crisp clean, easy setup. Easy to use remote. Everything is awesome with this tube.

The only things I can think of are: it's weight, it's remote could operate a few more functions when operating in multi mode, and the little red light could be nixed. I fixed the little red light with a splosh from a jiffy marker.

I have owned Panasonic Products now for over 15 Years. I've always been happy with Pansonic products, from their CD Players to their Phones to their TV's always reliable and always impecible. I have a 32 inch Panasonic TV that was great, had a great picture but, lacked in inputs. The Tau is a Fabulous TV It's crisp clear picture is amazing, ask a Dealer to put Toy Story 2 DVD in and watch the Intro Scene you will be amazed. If you want a good comparison go to Future shop they usually have a JVC, Sony, Toshiba, and the Panasonic all sitting side by side. This makes it great for comparing them to each other. I realize that the TV is the most expensive in it's class but, it's SOOOO worth the $$$$$$. I was thinking of HDTV but, why? Cable is no where near ready for that yet. I'll stick with my Component in for my DVD and the true crisp clean picture on the TAU.

Crisp, clear picture.

I wish you could turn the red power light off somehow. IT is kind of annoying when I can turn the displays off on all my components but still have a bright red light on the front of the tv.

So far this tv has been great! I used the Video Essentilas Gold DVD to set the picture and it is fantastic. This is my first tv so I dont have anything other than our old 25" RCA that is around 7 years old. I considered the Sony Wega but I thought the picture looked better on the Panasonic. I suggest using the Component video inputs if your DVD playe has them, it does make a noticable difference. So far this tv will do just fine untill I need a HDTV.

Picture quality is amazingly crisp and clear from edge to edge. The unit has PIP (picture-in-picture)with two sizes and can be moved to four different areas of the screen.

I really can''''t think of any except that the unit is heavy ( about 150 lbs.) and requires two people to move it. However, after it''''s on the stand, it is not too difficult to move. The remote is universal and could be improved; it does not operate all the VCR functions.

I have to admitt that I have slight bias toward Panasonic televisions since I owned a 27" that provided excellent service for over 14 years. I originally went out looking for a plain 32", but after seeing the Tau flat screen, I was sold immediately even though it was twice as expensive. I immediately noticed that there is much less glare on the flat screen and the side viewing angle is increased drastically as compared to a standard screen. The digitals (HDTV) are too new (and expensive) as far as the technology is concerned, so I settled on this one after shopping for several weeks. The year of manufacture on this set 2002 and the picture quality is excellent. The colors are vivid and the audio is very clean. I also purchased the optional stand which coordinates in both size and color to the TV. I went out the following week and purchased component cables since it has the jacks in the back. When used with the Onkyo Home Theater system I also bought, the DVD picture quality is exceptional. If your looking for a quality set but want to hold off on going digital, then this is for you.

No auto detect for S video/component Only 1 component in Remote not as good as Sony

Let me just say I sell video products so I look at TV''s all day. I have always like the Panasonic digitals over the Sony XBR''s sue to their better black reproduction and smaller dimensions. For personal use I was not ready for a digital set since I will be getting something a little more exotic in a few years so I picked up this Panasonic. I''m VERY impressed with the picture quality compared to the non-digital Sony''s. I am running it through an Integra 7.1 receiver and speakers so I don''t know how good the sound is but the picture is just superb even with just S-Video. It has two tuner PIP which I never use and yes it is a bit more than Sony''s 32KV17 ($200 more retail) but well worth the money in picture quality and cabinet styling (much cleaner look than the Sony). A pity we don''t carry it yet since I think I could sell a lot of these. If you''re lookign for an analog 32 inch flat screen, this is IT.
