What I meant to say in the last statement is:

Buy a sony or Phillps,
Do not for Gods Sake buy a RCA or GE

Very, very, poor picture. To DARK. General Electric makes this TV.

This tv is very heavy and not well made. I had a 20 Inch General Electric(very cheap) TV for 4 years. It has the same setup functions for the controls. That means that RCA is using cheapo computer parts and programs from there lowest models.

Anyways the GE 20 incer is almost blacked out. I have to turn the brightness on full to see the picture.

I feel that this problem is starting to happen to my 36" RCA. Over time you have to keep turing the brightness up to see a clearer picture. I use S-video out from a DVD and also have digital Sat. These two components produce the best picture quality, but suck on a RCA 36" tv.

My advice is to buy any other brand name than GE or RCA which uses the same products or are related companies Sony or Phillps
