Strength:
Easy to use Remote, 3 audio/video inputs and 1 audio output.
Weakness:
Lack of S-Video input, customer support is so-so. This is the best TV you can get for the money. Good picture and sound. Great extras. |

Strength:
Easy to use remote and on-screen menu with nice graphics... no Atari text here. Sound quality is acceptible for the average user and is certainly better than anything Panasonic offers in the $275 - $375 segment.
Weakness:
Basic comb filter, but at least it has one. Wish it had an S-Video plug:( I just came from the store where the know-nothings laughed at me for spending an hour tweaking out a Panasonic, JVC and this Samsung for a side by side comparison. This model won hands-down. You would have to spend nearly $100 more to get a 'digital' 3 line comb filter, which does reduce dot crawl more than the comb filter does on this Samsung but, even so... the Samsung has a better 'over-all' picture. Nothing comes close for the price. |

Strength:
Value, A/V inputs and output, on-screen controls, Surround Sound emulation, sound quality
Weakness:
Red tint in picture For the price I am very satisfied with this television. It has three sets of A/V inputs and a set of A/V outputs. The Surround simulation is very impressive. My only pet peeve is the red tint that I've noticed in both the 25 and 27 inch models. However, this can be minimized by adjusting the brightness and tint controls. I did a lot of research before purchasing it and I would buy it again. Similar Products Used: TXJ2566 |

Strength:
Comb filter, well designed remote, user friendly online menus. Picture is sharp and vibrant, very deep black (which is important when discussing quality televisions to be used with a VCR or DVD player).
Weakness:
Lack of an S-Video input jack (necessary for optimal performance of a DVD player); so-so customer support. Also the pre-set standard color setting seems to accent magenta too much when the real color is closer to red. This is easily remedied by selecting the mild setting, or going into the custom setting and changing the various picture setting to your own preference. This is the price leader among 27" televisions. If lack of an S-Video jack is not a priority, this is a very good set. Consumer Reports has rated Samsung televisions highly in the past.
