This is a great crossover HD tv until all providers convert to the widescreen format. Has a superb picture, true 1030 capability, 7 video inputs, with ability to set up picture for each seperate input. and excellent simulated surround sound when you don't want to turn on the surround system. When you consider the cost of the other products out there, and the quality of the picture compared to them, LCD, DLP, and Plasma,this, and the XBR 34" Sony are no brainers. They are a pain to move, but well woth the effort, considering what you get performance wise. I chose this 36: over the wide screen 34" as it also has the super fine pitch picture tube, the same as the XBR 34, but also provides a much larger standard TV picture compared to the 34" widescreen, which in standard format displays the equivlant to a 27" tv.

I have given it 4 stars, as obviously, there is something better out there, with the next generation of displays becoming available. in the 1900 x 1080 display cababilities.

Customer Service

Not needed yet, but purchased 3 year warranty in home service. If replaced in 3 years, cost will be $300.00 a year.
