Strength:
Easy set-up, PIP can easily be repositioned, menus are clearly laid out.
Weakness:
Somewhat grainy picture quality when viewed closely. Remote is cluttered, and changing PIP channels requires you to manually step through them. Also channel labels ("ABC", "CBS" etc) are limited, and I got a "memory full" message when trying to program labels for less than 100 cable channel names. Very nice set, now discontinued. *Very* heavy. 165 pounds, and requires at least 2 people to position! The matching stand is designed for this model, and looks wonderful ($169 at Circuit City) but takes about 4 hours to assemble. Great video, but the sound quality from the built-in 10 watt speakers is decent, but not great. The "surround sound" mode is a joke. Dual tuners make PIP a joy. Strength:
Picture is great. Colors are great. Easy to find information for it on the internet.
Weakness:
TV is HEAVY! This TV is great. I got mine cheap because of discounts and coupons. But even at full price, you can't go wrong. The picture is crisp and clear. I don't use the speakers, so I can't comment on that. But the TV's picture is great. I calibrated it with the AVIA DVD. Now it looks fantastic. You can't go wrong with this TV. Great Buy!
