Strength:
16:9 auto enhancement, index, picture quality on all digital sources, memory stick slot, cinemotion, adjustable DRC modes
Weakness:
none In my opinion, this TV is the best of both worlds (4:3 and 16:9). I mostly watch 4:3 content from Directv and it is beautiful. Fantastic picture via S-Video. Hook this set up to a progressive scan DVD player and you will be in heaven. However, anamorphic DVD's can look a little small on the screen if you sit too far from the set. If you don't mind the bars during widescreen content than you will enjoy taking advantage of both 4:3 and 16:9 content. |

Weakness:
It is heavy, but worth every strain to get it into position. This is my first foray into 32 inch HD-ready televisions. I purchased this television after 1 year of comparison shopping. I use the TV for standard cable television and have it hooked to a Sony Progressive scan DVD player. Simply put, the picture jumps off the screen. It has settings galore to adjust to your desired viewing. My family watched "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron" and was amazed by the detail that was present, not previously seen on our 27 inch television. The NBA playoffs were equally incredible in analog broadcast. I can only imagine what the picture would look like once I start utilizing the HDTV. Finally, the sound system on the TV almost made me forget about my home theater receiver. The subwoofer and Trusurround setting does an awsome job. It will make the wait for my receiver in for repairs much easier. Similar Products Used: None |
