Great picture, wide viewing angles, great sound.

Heavy! The remote control is not backlit. For a $2000 unit this should be included

Great unit! The picture on the Sony XBR 800 is the best of any direct view widescreen I demoed. The direct view screen allows for wide viewing angles and precise clarity. I don't have HDTV hooked up yet, but the picture from my progressive scan DVD player is unvelievable. And for a TV the stereo sound is fantastic. My girlfriend says we don't even need surround sound. (Of course I ignored her!)
