Strength:

Great picture, lots of inputs, easy to use remote. still cant believe i got it for $600!!

Weakness:

This TV is extremely heavy, 235lbs, so make sure you know where youre going to put it b/c moving it is a huge pain. besides that i find nothing wrong with it at all.

won it on ebay for $600, freakin unbelievable. This is an absolutely amazing tv. has a lot of inputs, even though most people like myself who spend the money, unlike myself($600 are you kidding!) for a tv like this are more likely to have a home theater which only requires one hookup, but having options is always nice. very sharp and clear picture, especially when paired with a progressive scan dvd player. the regular speakers on the tv are surprisingly loud and clear and can provide a very small amount of bass as opposed to most tvs. one of my favorite things about the tv is the extremely simple remote control. most tv's have a ton of buttons for all the features, but sony keeps the remote nice and simple, and all the features can be accessed by the easy to use menu. also the buttons are glow in the dark.

Strength:

Sharp, crisp picture Easy to configure and operate multiple component and S-Video inputs

Weakness:

Very, very heavy (235 pounds) Large. I had a difficult time finding an entertainment center to fit the TV.

This TV is everything it should be. The picture quality is very sharp and crisp. A progressive-scan DVD player connected via the component inputs appear as close to an HD broadcast as anything can.

Strength:

Big, lifelike reproduction in a system in which to grow into over the next few years. The TV will not become outdated within the foreseeable future.

Weakness:

Move it once. It is extremely heavy... but, so what? Expensive - but it is a Direct View television, not a rear-projection.

KV-36HS20: The best picture I've ever seen. Quality build. Impressive features and looks. This TV is HDTV capable, meaning that when couple with an HDTV receiver it will produce the high def picture. Without the HDTV receiver it is still phenominal. DVD sources and even cable are outstanding. Highly recommended.

Strength:

Good cable programming looks stunning. Anamorphic DVD movies yet look much better. The setup menu is easy to use. Good sound.

Weakness:

Some frequently used functions has no direct button on the remote. Quality picture is actually dark.

Sony 36XBR400. I will never be able to look at analog screen again. And the price is reasonable: $2000-2500. When the source is 4:3, it is a BIG screen with high level of details. When it is widescreen, 36" is still big...
