I have this television hooked up to the DishNetwork and it has just about the cleanest, most vivid picture I have ever seen. It has a flat panel screen which reduces glare and makes side viewing more enjoyable. One thing that was very important for me was that the television had an adequate sound system. One thing that I noticed when shopping was that many of the high end sets had really lousy sound--you would have to turn them almost all the way up to enjoy a movie or show. Not this set. It has a 33 watt sound system with a Cyclone subwoofer. It does not boom like a SVS subwoofer but it does supply an enjoyable touch of bass to source material. I know alot of people opt to use their receivers for sound, but many times I don''''t want to hassle with it and just like having good sound right from my set. I also liked this set because of Toshiba''''s reputation for having good build quality and reliability. Another must for me was that the set must have alot of input capability. This set has 2 rf inputs, 3 s-video, component and composite inputs. Although it is not HD, it''''s picture (to me) is as good as any of the HD sets that I have seen displayed. I am and expect to remain very happy with this set.
