kick ass tv, direct view is the way to go. better picture than plasma, projection, or lcd. just go and compare the quality in a side by side comparison with any other set. this is the best looking tv around

Just got my new Toshiba 36HFX71 HDTV......DAMM! Plugged in my X-Box using the High Definition Advance Pack.......HOLY CATS! The picture clarity is just OUTTA CONTROL! The sound alone coming out from the unit is just amazing! I could hear the unit from outside my house. Was watching Fight Club with my Panasonic A320 DVD Player plugging in directly to the HD ColorStream inputs.....the clarity & sound is unbelievable. Although I will upgrade to a Progressive Scan DVD player.....the picture alone from this unit was crisp. Get this unit! Its worth the bang for the buck....even if it make you broke before your next paycheck!

Just to add to my earlier review... I bought the audio/video upgrade (for DD and S-Video) for my Xbox and the picture is INSANE!!! Very clear, evem up close... You can tell the quality of film used to make a movie because of the clarity!!! And with all the inputs i still have room after plugging in the Sony DVD, Xbox, N64, DSS and still room...
