Strength:

Number of lines of resolution, great picture and S-Video Input.

Weakness:

No component video out.

I've had this TV since early '98 and haven't had any problems. I'm pretty sure they aren't selling this as a new model anymore, but I thought I'd give it a review since the boner below gave it a bad review for not having variable audio out, which suck anyway, and my TV came with.

I'd love to be able to go and pick up a new Sony WEGA flatscreen TV, but unfortunately I don't have the $2000.00. I bought this TV for less than $800.00 and have been happy with it. I have had to move it several times, and let me tell you IT'S HEAVY.

I am using this TV with a Pioneer VSX-D608 DTS reciever, an Pioneer DV-525 DVD player, and a RCA Home theatre VCR.

Strength:

Picture and quality

Weakness:

Not a flat screen :(

This is a great TV, I use it for everything like hooking up my VCR, Playstation1/2 , DVD, DSS satalite dish, full rack kenwood stereo system.
There are really no complaints. never had any problems. Its just heavy as hell to move around. The stock speakers are loud and has surround sound. Remote is easy, but corney.
Great value for its TV. Antoher great product by Toshiba!

Strength:

Features, ease of set-up, price/features

Weakness:

Heavy

Bought Toshiba brand as I have 2 smaller Toshiba TVs that have been around working faithfully for nearly 10 years.

Comes with a great number of features for the money, especially with the Sear promo. TV stand that I received for "Free" (six months later the TV was $100 less without the stand).

I use it connected to my VCR, WebTV, Receiver, and cable.

The only issue is that when using the WebTV, which can show all white screens, the screen has started to get a yellow tint on the right side and blue tint on the left side. This is not immediate, but appears after a few seconds.

Strength:

Good construction, good picture

Weakness:

No variable audio output.

Any television that you buy these day, especially 27" or larger, should have a variable audio output. This feature allows you to preset your receivers volume and just the volume of the TV through the receiver.

Strength:

Large, sharp picture for the size, lots of features.

Weakness:

Weighs a ton (just the nature of the beast) remote has annoying setup.

Figured the extra money for a high quality toshiba would be worth it for dvd and movies. It was. The two video audio inputs/outputs are extremely helpful. T.V. looks great, though lugging it around is a pain in the ass. With a rebate I got it open box for 550.

I like.

Strength:

Great picture, easy use, PIP and Supertuner awsome!

Weakness:

Heavy as hell. Remote is boring.

I had this TV for over 2 years + and no problems. Its really easy of use and the remote sucks (but not hard to us at all).
I never used PIP. The Picture is great while watching Direct TV or DVD,, hell even VHS on my old Panasonic 4-head.

I just bought an new A/V sony amp and running 6 speakers and boy is kicks butt!!!

But I enjoy the tv allot. I am planing to upgrade to a HDTV / flat panel. I like to get another Toshiba,,, but there pricy IMO.

I just want a bigger screen now and little more crisper!! but this one does great No COMPLAINTS!!!!!
