Strength:

component vidio, price

Weakness:

Quality all inputs are in the rear.

I just bought this TV and it has to go back. The picture
at the bottom has some major flaws. When displaying white
only their are RED and GREEN shadows. I think when I return
it to best buys I will upgrade to the CZ36V51/61 depending
on the price. All in All I think this TV has the potential
to be very good. I hope this is that 7% that has problems.
If you discount the problem I think the color and sharpness
are very very good. The controls are top rate. The color
adjustments are also top rate. I hope that the next TV is
better as I did alot of studing before this purchase and
think this is the TV for my family.

Reall great picture, plus it was easy to set up and use. One thing I do not like is the remote being too friendly; we use the TV only as a monitor, but pressing a number button by accident changes the TV to antenna in. Annoying, but not enough to be a major issue.

Strength:

Price, Value, Component Inputs

Weakness:

None

Bought at the local Best Buy for $650 - Toshiba rebate at I can't be happier. At 140lbs, I didn't want to deal with online hassles. Component inputs are the way to go!

Great picture and has component inputs. Not bad for a TV that is selling for $599 at best buy. My only problem is that I have a little area of discoloration at the top of the screen. I'll have to get warranty repair. Other than that, I love it.

Strength:

Great picture, Component

Weakness:

only 2 vid inputs, no PIP with Component input

Great picture, great for dvd's and DBS, had problem with off center picture, but the service menu allows you to correct all of these problems.
My complaint about the PIP not working with component also means that I havn't used the PIP at all, so I can't comment on that, but aside from being heavy there's not much else bad I can say for this tv.

I picked one of these up at Best Buy for $629 about one month ago now. I easily can recommend this set. The picture quality is very good and it is loaded with features for the price. It includes 2 A/V inputs/1 output, Component input, PIP, 2 line digital comb filter, color temp control, universal remote, and is rated at 800 lines of resolution. DVD video through the component input is very detailed and the color is very rich and accurate. I would recommend calibrating this set (or any set) using Video Essentials or AVIA as I did. The color/tint settings are just about dead on using the factory presets, the black level did need to be adjusted down a good bit, but that was no problem using one of the above mentioned discs to get an accurate brightness/contrast level. Overall this is a fine set for the price.

Quick review - Had it for about 2 weeks (along w/ Toshiba 2109 DVD player) and no complaints. DVD picture is crystal clear via component connection. Payed about $700 - worth every penny.

An excellent TV. After brooding for weeks, reading reviews, I finally picked this TV; my fiance was skeptical - was it too big... now she and I are hooked. We do not use the internal sound stuff since it is the monitor in a home theater with DVD / DSS so I cannot comment on that aspect, but the picture is clear as a bell and the GUI features make it simple to set up.

Strength:

*Should* be a good TV for the price

Weakness:

Poor quality control

I have been through two of these TV's in the past two weeks. Both have been defective in one way or the other. The first would exhibit bright flashes on the screen after the set had warmed up. The second did not suffer from this, but had a horizontal line at the very top of the screen that was brighter than the rest of the image. Plus all horizontal lines were noticeably warped, sort of rippling across the screen. This was especially noticeable when veiwing something in letterbox format. Maybe I just have had bad luck with these TV's, but I will not be getting a third. It has all the features I want at a grood price, but my back can't handle toting another of these 130 pound monsters around back to the store.

Strength:

component video input, great price, good picture

Weakness:

could use one more video input

This TV has looked outstnding so far. I have only had it about 3 weeks and I have not had a chance to evaluate it with a video setup dvd. Right out of the box it looks very well. Noticed a slight color problem with a shift towards the yellows. Will let you know how everything goes after calibration
