Heavy... Call a mover. I bought this TV in December 1999, and am VERY pleased with it. The color is perfect, Sharpness is wonderful, and most important to me, the black is very dark. I also have another of this model at my office on our video conferencing system. Component video is wonderful. Waiting for HDTV to be more affordable. I bought this TV a while ago, and am not sure of it's current price. At the time of purchase, the price was worth it. Similar Products Used: Magnavox 27" |

Strength:
nice picture and design
Weakness:
none Just bought this TV last night at Best Buy for around $900.00. The picture is very sharp, and I love the design. The TV looks great in my room. The menu is easy to use and the remote is not very complex. I have it hooked up to my sony receiver str-de635 for watching VHS movies, planning on getting a DVD player soon. I could not control the sound from the TV if I plugged my VCR to the TV and the TV to the receiver, meaning that if I increase the trebble, bass or volume on the TV, I didn't notice any changes from my sony speakers. Otherwise this is a great TV for the price and I love it. Similar Products Used: none |

Weight Not much else for me to say than hasn't already been said about the unit...and yes this thing weighs a "Ton"...well actually about 178# (w/o the box). You will need 2 fairly strong people to pick this up and move it. You may need 3 people if you're putting it in an audio video center...2 to pick it up and 1 to guide it in and move the cables out of the way. I hooked up both the Composite (cable TV/VCR inputs) and the Component (for the Pioneer 525 DVD) cables. You should figure out what you "might" need to hook up at “any time in the future” and do it immediately, if it's in an A/V cabinet, otherwise you'll end up having to call over 2 friends to help you move it and hook it up again later. |

Price, Picture quality & video inputs Great TV for the money. I couldn't find a better TV for the money. I almost went with the Sony 36" wega, but decided to save the money and wait until HDTV comes down in price. I paid $750.00 for the Toshiba at Best Buy. $849 sale price with an additional 10% off sale. Similar Products Used: Sony 27" Trinitron |

This is a fine TV, with an excellent picture, and component video inputs as well as an s-video input. I have a Sony DVD connected to the component video, and the result is great. You should be able pick up this set for around $900. |

round tube The best picture in its class - hands down. On-screen menu is okay, settings are okay, round tube bends horizontal lines noticeably at the edges. Still bought it because of its sharpness. Component video ins are a bonus in this price range. Can't go wrong with this set while waiting for HDTV to settle in. |
