CLASSE' makes good products.Not great.I would buy any of their amps,especially the CA-200.They do offer excellent value particularly when you can get them used from people who think they have overspent for audiophile-quality components and are willing to sell them for an even cheaper price!
As far as the sound of this amp,to me, it is very smooth AND powerful.So when I heard it a couple of years ago, it joined the ARC D-130 and McCormack DNA-0.5 as possible candidates for my next upgrade.I use a Rotel 980 now and the CA -200 is much better.

I have been using this amplifier for a little over one year and I'm very pleased with its performance. Smooth response from top to bottom and very easy on the ear. It is mated with a tubed Counterpoint SA5000 pre-amp and this is a good match. The amp is built to very high standards and high quality components are used throughout. It.s also drop dead gorgeous in appearance. Binding posts are excellent and accomodate large spades. This is the only component I've ever bought brand new and I don't regret it ....it comes with a lifetime warranty to the original owner and you can't ask for a better deal than that as it's the kind of component that will be satisfying for a long time.

perfecttttttt.....musical musical musical musicalllllllllllllllllll.....deep,wide,clean,detailed,soft,warm,warm tooooo warmmmmmm...this is an excellent amp at 1800$..if you dont wanna spend toooo much buy this one...at this price sound is unbeatble....i dont make any comparaison with krell because this isnt fair.....krell cant beat a classe with his much bright sound....

I have owned the product for 8 months and find that the detail and clarity of this amp is tremendous. The midrange and high end in particular sound almost tube like giving a holographic type image. The bass is also rock solid. The product sounds equally good at low volume or high volume. Has low noise level and is very quite.

Blew a Mosfet fuse once however that was playing at extremely loud level. Problem may have been due to surging power supply. Replaced fuse and have not had a problem since.

For the money I feel the unit is hard to beat. The build quality is suberb. I am using the unit to power B&W 802 Nautilus speakers which it does a fine job of. I still would like to have more power available as I like to crank it up on occassion. I may upgrade to the CA300 or CA400.

very good..warm end detailed sound.deep and soft bass..clear highs.clarity is exceptional.sound is tube like..i compared it with many other monsters..but when i consider the price/performance classe is the best.for the price it is unbeatable.much more musical than krell.this is a real high end unit.who wants to high end sound to a very resonable price buy classe.tou cant go wrong with ca-200..state of art...
