Strength:
Stylish design, realistic and open sound, cheap, very deep bass (in comb. with Klipsch)
Weakness:
Difficult to purchase In my opinion the Beat100 is a very musical amp. Similar Products Used: Musical Fidelity, Rotel, to many ordinary consumer electronics. |

After living with this amplifier for several months, it has proved to be revealing, with excellent rythmnic timing (hence the name 'Beat'! Excellent stereo image with good detail pickup. More than that, it seems to convey a lot of the 'emotion' of music. Drawbacks? It has an accentuated treble, which may on certain speakers make the sound difficult to live with for extended periods. It is not an easy-listening amplifier - it plays some cd's really well, and makes others gratingly harsh. Perhaps best suited for jazz (where it excels) and well recorded rock/pop. Audition, but make sure you check compatibility with speakers. |

Strength:
Transient snap ! Inner detail.
Weakness:
None, for what it does at this price point. This amp let's me listen to the music, not my equipment. When you hear openess, speed, detail and sheer cohesiveness of the sonic tapestry...you have musicality. This Beat B-100 has these traits in spades. Hey, after an audition in my home, I sold my Krell KAV 300i and bought the B-100. This amp using "zero negative feedback", which i've found the best sounding amps to employ (larger Krell's, Pass and all tube amps). The build quality is almost mil-spec grade. Reliability is a hallmark of Densen. I know the people at Densen love music because it shows in the equipment. My system : Vandersteen 1C (lastest), Creek OBH-12 Preamp, JVC 1010 as transport, Aragon D2A2 DAC. Flatline cable (copper) connects all. Jesus provides the power, amen ! Similar Products Used: I sold my Krell KAV 300i for this unit. |

Strength:
Speed, resolution, fluid presentation, Musicality and great looks
Weakness:
Not the most subtle sounding amp around, need a good Cd player to realise its potention. Needs to avoid metal cone speakers This guy can do PRAT!. Very fast soundings, no overhang of tones, every beat and details of the music get carried to you in a non-muddied fashion. Able to go loud with minimal fuss. You will need to partner it with a speedy CD player to realise its potential. Similar Products Used: Naim 2, Exposure Super XX, Musical Fidelity XA1, Roksan Caspian, Marantz PM17, Cyrus 7 |

I own this amp (with mm-phono stage) for 4 years now and I maust say I'm really happy with it. It provides easy listening without any problems although its qualitiy in music reproduction always shows me how badly some cds and records are recorded :-). It's connected to a MicrOmega Stage 2 CD-Player, a Rega Planar 3 turntable (RB300 tonearm and AT95E Pro pick-up) and the Dynaudio Gemini DIY-Kit. The weak power output is the only problem I have because the Dynaudios require more power than the amp can deliver. I can recommend this amp to everybody that has high-efficiency speakers and wants to listen to some decent music. |
