Strength:
Smooth Airy Treble. Fantastic midrange presentation. 20 year warranty. Quality workmanship. With Remote control. A truly stealth high end. This amp swallows other amps in the same price range. Nothing can touch it in its airy, refined and smooth reproduction of the high frequency. Cymbals takes on a realistic shimmer. The midrange vocals cannot be better. As they say “if the midrange isn’t right nothing else matters”. Diana Krall, Rebecca Pidgeon sounds lush, smooth and sweet. You ought to hear Diana Krall on this one. Her palpable voice on Love Scenes CD is incredible. She so sounds soooo lush and smooth on her East of the Sun and West of the Moon track from the CD When I look into your Eyes. Having purchased the Krell KAV300I and 300CD, I was very interested in listening to the Bryston product when the opportunity became available at my local dealer. I had not seriously considered the B-60 because my feeling was that 60wpc would be a little on the shy side. Boy was I wrong! Within reasonable listening levels (95-100db peaks) this little integrated is wonderful. |

One star? Come on gentlemen...one star should be reserved for Yorx and GPX Boom Boxes. It could be that some other portion of the system is causing the maladies that you describe. A system is very synergystic. I have found the B60 to be a product that is very capable of bringing out even the most subtle of differences in source components, speakers, or cables. |

Great little integrated and it all fits in an unbelievably small package! Very impressive sound and a perfect match for my ML Aerius's. I looked at the Classe', Krell, Meridian, Linn, and Naim but ultimately decided on the Bryston. With a 20 year warranty you can't go wrong. None of the other manufacturers products I listened to have that much faith in their product. Krell gives a lesser warranty to the KAV 300i than any of its other product....hmmmmmm |

I auditioned the B60 after reading some good reviews and was really disappointed. Bright and Dry, that about sums it up. If you have good speakers i.e.Proacs, you'll hear Bright and Dry, the little Golden Tube 50 watt integrated blew away the Bryston sounding much more musical. Even an Audiolab is better at a few hundred dollars less. |

My impression of the B-60 is entirely different from those who find it bright and dry!! No doubt care must be taken to match a 60W amp with the right speaker, but I found it behaved wonderfully with the efficient PSB Stratus Silvers (91dB). In that combination, my impression was of reality up and down the scale and across the timbres. Sound staging was very precise and reliable. The fortepiano on Malcolm Bilson's Mozart Piano C'tos hung like a liquid jewel in front of the clearly defined original instruments. The pianissimo double basses at the opening of Gorecki's #3 were clearly defined from the start, and Dawn Upshaw's voice, like all mid-range material, is very transparent. That's all the "bass slam" I need, thanks! This is a highly musical product of great integrity. |

Jason is dead on. I auditioned several integrateds including the B60 and the Krell KAV300 and Classe CAP100 sound much better than the B60: they are much smoother and refined in addition to having more power. |

"Different strokes for different folks" but I currently own the CAP80 and the B60 and prefer the sound of the B60. Don't get me wrong, both are very good, but to my ears, on my system, in my house, it is just a little more detailed with slightly more defined bass at reasonable listening levels. Besides, the sound pressure level between 60wpc and 100wpc is very negligable. Even 120watts will only play 3db louder than 60wpc. Anyway, from where I sit in my listening chair I give it 5, even if you only use it as a preamplifier. |

I originally was interested in the BP25/3B-ST combo but after auditioning the BR60R decided to go this route and add the 3B-ST later in a biamped configuration. The B60 is really an astonishing amplifier that is certainly not embarrassed by amplifiers costing 2 or even 3 times the price. Absolutely wonderful! Go listen for yourself - at this price you just can't go wrong. The preamp section is basically the BP20 which retails for just a couple of hundred less that the B60. It is like getting the LP2B amplifier for free. Very cool! |
