Stereo sub-woofer pre-out, L,C,R,SR,SL pre-outs.
Weakness:
No 24bit/96kHz support It was the only (pre-)amplifier avaible at modest pricing, able to connect a stereo pair of subwoofers! Great functionality. Nice 'heavy' design. I'm realy glad I bought the DSP-A1!! Enjoying it every day! Similar Products Used: Onkyo |

Strength:
Amazing sound quality and DSP Modes. Used the Party DSP Mode at one of our house parties and it really gave a stunning effect. Excellent amount of inputs . I have connected my DVD Player , 300 CD Player , Single CD Player , VHS , MD , Tuner & Sony Playstation to it. And I still have space for a lot more.
Weakness:
None, hmmmm.... remote is a not very user friendly Great value for money. Really impressed by the settings that one can play around with . Similar Products Used: Marantz |

Strength:
Visceral power, quietness, no-fuss use.
Weakness:
remote, only if you want to use it as a universal remote to controll DSS, otherwise it works fine. This is one of those products that truly exceeds the sum of it's parts. Absolutly incredible on movies and outperforms Tandberg separates I once owned. Consider the DSP's a bonus, you can totally configure them to your own taste if you want, and if you're one of those who will never like this type of enhancement, you don't have to use them. This processor is just soooo easy to use. And to top it off there are absolutly no glitches anywhere to be found. I read so many reviews of so-called high end products where something doesn't work properly in the first (second, third) factory run. It's no wonder so many people are using this processor as the centerpiece of some very high end home theatres. Enough said. Similar Products Used: Yamaha DSP-A2070 |

I have owned my DSP-A1 for a year now. I am very pleased with it and do enjoy the dsp modes occasionally. It has taken me quite awhile to learn which modes sound "right" with different music...videos..etc. I have yet to try the 7.1 as i can't pry the klipsch ksb 1.1s from my wifes little setup but i plan to soon. I actually like the remote BUT i do have yamaha tuner..cd..and dvd player. The sound seems very clean and strong to my ears. I dont listen to music that often but have found it to be satisfying...not OUTSTANDING but no complaints. The movie stuff in DD/DTS is very different tho...OUTSTANDING! I am always blown away by the bass reproduction and realism that i hear and feeel when watching movies. I think it looks very good and have had zero problems or complaints with it. I would make the purchase again. I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm not an audiophile but it sounds really good to my ears :) |

Strength:
Excellent Product Overall
Weakness:
Remote is clumsy and it is also somewhat confusing to navigate some of the on-screen options. Excellent sounding integrated amp for both music and movies. There is a definate improvement in sound quality over my former receivers which have included top-of-the-line Pioneer Elite and Sony ES models. Aside from spending mega-bucks on ultra-high-end separates, this is the way to go. Plenty of audio/video and other connections for just about anything you can think of. It is also a very solid, well-built piece of equipment. I purchased mine when they first came out over a year ago and paid well over $2000. You can now find this piece for much less than that and it is worth every penny. Similar Products Used: Pioneer Elite, Sony ES |

Strength:
Can, literally, handle everything I can throw at it
Weakness:
Remote isn't my favourite I've held off on a review until I had this unit for long enough to make a considered opinion. I use it to drive a set of tri-wired Epos es22 speakers (for music purposes) from a Denon 370 CDP. I'd been warned that the es22 were notoriously hard to drive and the A-1 might not have the cajones - That wasn't true. This amp is just fine thank-you! - Ask my neighbours how Ouwe and the Minnesota Orchestra sound playing "Night on Bald Mountain"! I find that it delivers an extremely clean signal with nearly no distortion at SPL levels in excess of 95dB - which is plenty enough for anyone. |

Strength:
All the features you can expect from an AV amp.
Weakness:
None for this price range. I use DSP A1 to push 7 B&W 800 speakers including two large Nautilus 803 main, and I match it with a Velodyne HGS12 sub and a Elite DV05 DVD player. I do have other amps to work with my B&W for music listening. However, I found DSP A1 is doing a good job competing with my Mark Levision 334 and Pass X150 in sound fiels depth and body. DSP A1 does not have the music intepretation abilit to explore the full potential of my B&W, but it's great for watching movie. I auditioned Lexicon DC2 and MC1 and found that I prefer DSP A1's 7 channel arrangement. $2000 plus sticker price is not exactly cheap, but the machine delivers a lot for your money. |

Remote This is a great Integrated Amp with the capability of decoding DD and dts. Absolutely this should be considered as a centerpiece of any Home Theater System. Similar Products Used: Yamaha and JVC |
