Owning this amplifier has been a joy. I have used it with several different set ups and never came close to clipping it when listening to spirited rock & roll. To read the last review and say that this amplifier only has 50 watts and might work in a small room is a statement from an insecure ear. First of all to gain 1db in sound you must double output power, yes double output power. The majority of speakers, yes even high end speakers are 88db efficiency and up on an 8ohm load. More than ample listening volumes can be provided with this amp. |

Dear Mister 206 67 190 108. Do you have a name hiding behind this IP number ?I wrote my review from a very busy Internet cafe restaurant in the St-Denis district of Montréal. What can I say. A lot of people surf the net here, it would not be unusual to have two audiophiles consulting this review forum, the most popular and best on the net. YBA is a very predominant and respected name here. Yves Bernard André himself comes to this city almost yearly, and no one can deny the quality of his gear. On the subject of being biased to Classe, I can understand why it would be easy. You see, the company is right here in Montreal, and the local audiophile magazine constantly writes rave reviews easy deal to make with any magazine ( take some and leave some). So it is obviously a point of pride for some, but it is no excuse for sonic performance. My ultimate humble choice for electronics is an all Naim Audio system, with the Hi-Caps and all. However, the price is way beyond reach for most YBA or classé owners. But that's ok, so is the performance of Naim Hi-fi, the best value in audio for those with medium to deep pockets. It will never win the beauty contest that YBA and Classé seem to competing in, but you can bet the money is inside and beautifully radiates outside to your ears and soul, where it really counts . Sorry I had to hurt a few YBA owners ego in my review. Hey guys, these are only amplification devices, not your own kids ! turn this ernergy into a positive one and let's have some fun! One final word to mister IP-Detective...where is YOUR review? This is the review area of the site.So turn down that Sanyo combo-system and let's hear about you (name included this time ok? no more hiding!) please! |

YBA Itegree DT alpha:Wonderful!! I'm just testing it with a pair of new (4 Yrs) LS3/5a from Kef and a Cd2 Naim. It drives them beautifully. Good bass, what do you expect? Clean, detailed, transparent upper range; not harsh.I would compare it with a top Naim system with less punch and slightly more open. |

This amp is an absolutely steal. Comparing with the Krell KAV 300i shows that the YBA is lightyears ahead in terms of musicality. The sound is much more transparent, and the sound of voices and instruments feels more natural than the Krell. The YBA has a faboulous quiet backdrop, and the music gets a fluid charracter which is incredible in this price-range. No doubt: |

This amp needs to be paired carefully in order to get the most out of it. Careful selection of other components will lead to wonderful musical results. Needless to say other YBA components will highlight the strengths of the amp. Mine is paired with a YBA CD Integre and Triangle Zays speakers, all hooked up by YBA Diamond cables and interconnects. The synergy of the system is unbelievable from a setup in this price range. Strength lies in the transparency and broad response in the mid range and treble. Might prove a little too revealing for poorly recorded pieces. Recommended. |

Strength:
Clear, musical and non-fatigue listening. Magical with vocals and acoustic instruments.
Weakness:
Lacking in the low end. Better for Jazz/vocal fans than rock addicts. A bit on the expensive side. First time I heard them, the music sounded almost too transparent ! My ears were not use to listening to so much detail and it was a little too overwhelming ! I was originally meant to have gotten the Complete Amp (Also YBA) but just could not go back to listening to that once I heard the YBA. The difference was HUUGGE ! I am hooking up the amp with the Integre CD which seems to go well. Drives a pair of Triangle Ittohs. Even though the set up now is crude and temporary set up, the sound coming through is still remarkably clear, clean with great sounstaging. Vocals and aucoustic instruments sound best and incredibly musical. Does not do the same justice with rock or pop music... but that is not exactly my cup of tea. One of the most musical amps I have listened to. Will be with me for a long time. |

Strength:
Clean, eminently musical sound.
Weakness:
Pricey, minimal controls Finding an integrated amp that approaches the sound of seperates is no easy task. This one comes as close as one could ask. Similar Products Used: Adcom seperates |

Strength:
Neutral yet powerful with lots of bass
Weakness:
Needs good source and matching cables I have been a music lover for more than 20 years with so many types of Hi FI products which until recently I have the chance to buy a used YBA integre DT at friend's place.I was in a shock the moment I listen to slam and bass it can produce to drive my TDL Studio 1M speakers to great heights and the sound stage is extremely wide. The human voice and music instrument all falls into it's own place and the depth of music is fantastic. All I can say is I am very happy to own this 50 watter intergrated amp like the YBA integre DT and would like others audiophile to audition it if given a chance. I bought YBA Integre DT for my second system. In the beginning, I did not believe its sound much. However, after burn-in continuously three months with Mani-2, Meridian 508.24, Silver Bullet 6.0 (WBT), Symphony 48, and Power Burst AC cord, now it almost kicks ass my main 30K system. It really sang! I am no more considering it as second one in my home. Franky, I listen this system daily instead of my main one. My two brothers and several audiophile friends are looking forward to match the sytem like this before year 2000. No more Audio Research Reference, no more Mark Levinson, no more Utopia, and also no more MIT Shotgun. They 'bited' our legs and arms with their price tags. Now I even dare to compare it with Lavadin IS, Naim CD 3.5, and JMlab Utopia that are raving in Europe. Hear this, and you will know what Class A+ system really sound! |

Wonderful sound, great tranparency, magnificient detail without cooling the sound. What a great amp. You can almost smell a piano on this one. I heard it with some Jmlab speakers and a micromega cd player. My fears were true. It lacks power. Now, as you know, a good amplifier must sound alive in a low volume. What's "alive"? When the sound is full of live it's bright, it has dynamic, it's pumping air. This particular amp was unable to give life to the jmlab in less than 1/4 volume. I can only remember of this minus factor wich stops me from giving this superb peace of machine a 5 stars rating. |
