Strength:
Clean & full sound, Main In/Pre-Amp Out, Phono In, Two Tapes, and I'll say it again...Clean & full sound!
Weakness:
Uh...OK, the remote doesn't work my non-HK CD. That's all I can say. I just received the HK3370. My trusty 100W Yamaha A-1020 blew a capacitor after 13 years. Similar Products Used: Yamaha A-1020 Integrated Amp |

After using the HK3270 for a month, I like it. Even though it's a receiver the quality is superb. The clarity is great, I've heard lots of new notes from CD's that I missed before. With the many inputs and outputs it is versatile. Harman Kardan comes through again. 70 watts of HK will fill any speakers. There is a very small hum from the unit after it's warmed up, only noticable when room is quite very close to unit. The lettering on the face of the unit is small but buttons are simple and remote good. For $295 from a local dealer, don't think you can find any better unit. |

The H/k 3270 is a remarkable stereo receiver with it's "clean" high current output. The vocals are not muddy at all, while the bass no trace of distortion. This receivers should not be compared to any in its class/price range. The Kenwood or Yamaha I had before could not compare. In using JBL Towers and Cerin Vegas and there is no noticable drop in output when in A/B mode. The reciever has ample power to drive both pairs a higher volume output without any setbacks. |

After listening to the Harmon/Kardon 3270 for just a few weeks, it was easy to recognize that it was amazing and much better than anything I've ever had or heard before. It is amazingly a very simple design that anyone can use, and also looks much more attractive than other models available on the market today. The sound is remarkable and crystal clear. It was $240 from Brandsmart U.S.A., and the it is one of their top models that they carry. The remote is also very simple, and controls everything from it. The Harmon/Kardon 3270 was definately a smart buy that I will never regret, and I plan to have it for many years. |

Well I have tried out many receivers from JVC, Technics and Kenwood and I have finally settled with the HK 3270. I found that the Hk had a much better ability to hit the lows then the others did. It also has much better clarity then any other receivers I tried and my music has seemed to take on new life. I am mainly interested in listening to music and on a budget so this receiver although slightly low in the power department for my speakers is more then ample for my listening needs. However one must realize as I did that this receiver has no digital capabilities at all and although you can hook up 4 speakers and a television, you will never have digital capabilities or even pro- logic for that matter. All in all though, if you appreciate good music and don't have the money for a Sherwood Newcastle (oh how I want one) or have intentions of going digital anytime soon then this receiver is the best you can get, trust me I searched! |

Excellent receiver! Feature-wise a definite 5 stars. Harman/Kardon really outdid thereselves this time. I got mine for $300 from 800.com Can't really tell how the amp is though because I run it to an external H/K PA2200 amplifier. Very clean, very well designed. |

My system started with HK AVR 40 driving Klipsch KLF LEgend Speakers, This reciever annoyed me because I thought it was a little grainy and bright and had poor bass response. I thought I was making my first big upgrade when I switched to Cambridge Audio integrated A3i, Well this thing sounded very clean, but almost sterile. IT also could not play loud on Klipsch. I mostly bought the HK3270 to use as a stand in until i figured out what I would by as my next real component for power. I figure it has a pre-out so I can just use it as a preamp when I upgrade my power. I have to say, that I like the sound of this reciever better than the HK Avr 40 and better than the Cambridge Audio. its only $300 from 800.com with no shipping and no tax. It is heavy and solid, extremely sturdy design. The Amp is much better and more powerful than one might expect at this price. It has a lot of reserve power 42 amps per channel. It can drive the klipsch unbearably loud. The sound is clear, the instruments are audible and musical. I enjoy the sound out of this reciever a lot. This reciever is a great purchase. I am very happy with this purchase. It is not an av reciever is meant for pure stereo, you can hook up tv to it. I love it, for music, you will not get better sound out of a reciever, and you will have to pay triple in separates to beat the sound. |

Strength:
Price, Power, Frequency response, Looks, Preamp & Amp capabilities, Tuner, and Tuner features.
Weakness:
NONE AVAILABLE All around and excellent reciever. You will not find a better setup unless you spend at least 1000 dollars in separates. Do not let the power rating scare you away, it is by far an underated 65 watts per channel. It is worth looking at because you will hear it and then you will by it. You may have to wait a while to get one because they are usually sold before they get them in stock. Similar Products Used: Sony STR-AV320, Kenwood VR-305, Technics SAEX110 |
