Strength:
smooth
Weakness:
uncontrolled bass This cable is very smooth and detailed at highs. However, the lows are way too exaggerated and uncontrolled. Accordingly, it seems that the tonal balance is wrong and not very listenable. Though, I admit that for some tastes and gear it can be a good choice. |

Strength:
price compared to other high end cables. Sound reproduction
Weakness:
price compared to standard rca cables. End connectors are tight enough. Just spent over $7000.00 on a new HT. Originally purchased monster cables. After seeing some reviews here and not really believing there was much difference in cables, I ordered the bettercables. They were $106 less and came in full meters compared the the 3/4 meter monsters I had purchased. I popped in the Eagles Hell Freezes over DVD and was initially disturbed at what I was hearing. There was some sqreetching that I hadn't noticed before. Switched back to the monsters and now I noticed it with them also, but not nearly as noticable. My first thought was I damaged my system somehow while switching the cables. Had my wife listen and she liked the bettercables. Now what. I innocently posted the question in AR's cable forum "what am I hearing?" Wheww, what a can of worms i opened up! After much debate/argument over whether I could really hear a difference between the cables, everyone agreed that I was hearing the fingers on the bridge of the guitar and this was a good thing. After spending a few more weeks listening I agreed and sent the monsters back to Audio King. I truly believe the bettercables allowed my system to reproduce the actual concert better than the monsters. Now whether you believe cables make a difference or not they still were over $100 less expensive and that's definately a good thing(price is $59/meter not $49 as listed above). Plus I could buy 5 instead of 3 pairs with 1 left over like I needed with monster. My only complaint is the rca connectors are not very tight. My Monster cables defintely had a snugger fit. I get the urge to check the bettercables often to make sure they haven't slipped off even though they haven't yet. Other than that, they appear to be made very well and I would definately recommend them. Similar Products Used: Monster |

Strength:
Build quality, price/performance, Salemanship. Well-balanced: rich, smooth sound.
Weakness:
Did not meet my expectation. Seemed to roll-off high frequencies. I REALLY wanted to like these cables. They were well-made, and inexpensive to boot. Unfortunately I returned them without any problems. Chalk it up to personal preference, and high subjectivity. Similar Products Used: AudioQuest, Monster, Mapleshade Cleaview/Golden Helix |

Great value for the money I was introduced to Bettercables through the video side. But the audio side is really where they rock. The audio interconnects are outstanding. I noticed a definte increase in my midrange. My AT 350's seemed to become more musical. A noticable improvement over my previous brand. Plus, they have great service on top of a fine product. A high value for the dollar product. Similar Products Used: Monster M Series |

Strength:
Uses loose jacket to make it look thicker than it is. My set came with a free pen.
Weakness:
Dulls the sound, particularly the highs. Overrated. The glowing reviews of these cables connected to high-end equipment made me take the plunge to try them out. I found them to be far from exemplary cables. Similar Products Used: MIT Terminator 3, Harmonic Technology Pro-Silway II, Various Monster Cables. |

It is just as good Kimber Hero
Weakness:
I paid twice as much for the Hero I just wanted to tell people that these audio cables are worth getting. At first I just needed some analog cables for my VCR to reciever hook up. So I tried these cables and my VCR sounded great. Well I wanted to compare them to the Kimber Hero's which were on my CD player. I could not believe it. They sounded just as good, maybe even better in the midrange. (Both cables are 2M, if curious) I paid $60 for Better Cables and $150 for the Heros. GO FIGURE!!! Well, now I have my $200 VCR hooked up with $150 cables. GO FIGURE!!! Oh well, at least when I watch Star Wars-Special Edition, it will sound really good ****DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN STAR WARS IS COMING OUT ON DVD????? Similar Products Used: Figure it out |

Build, support, performance. Just wanted to mention that AV Science has selected Better Cables LLC as our official cable supplier. Not only do they make one of the best cables we have seen and heard (they use true 75ohm connectors), but they offer them at a very low price compared to other specialty cable manufactures. possibly rolls-off high frequencies slightly These may be the best value in cables available today. They have all of the strenghs in cables I have tried which are three or four times the price, and are better in some areas. Similar Products Used: AudioMagic, Tributaries, Audioquest |
