Why pay inflated Monster Cable prices? I am replacing all of my older system cables with AR instead of Monster, and saving myself quite a bit of cash.

I have read complaints that sound is too bright with these cables. I disagree. Sound from my DVDs to my Yamaha HTR-5280 is flawless and clean. If you are on a budget and want quality cables, you can't go wrong with AR. Check out http://www.accessories4less.com for a big selection of AR cables at good prices.

Although I have never listened to my setup using other optical wire brands or even using coaxial instead, it is just lightyears better that analog, and finally I can get DTS! Though I did compare it to other optical cables in the store, and the quality of these wires are way better than those, and for only a few dollars more.

Just 18 bucks!! Instead of the 40 some people are spending...

people think that it improves picture quality

FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY OPTICAL AND DIGTIAL COAXIAL CABLES DONT AFFECT PICTURE QUALITY AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PICTURE.IF YOU NEED TO IMPROVE THE PICTURE QUALITY S-VIDEO AND COMPONENT VIDEO CABLES DO THAT.
I like the AR pro series and I prefer them over many Monster cables like the Interlink 250 and 400 and they sit in the hall of shame for a good reason.I use these optical cables for my CD Recorder and they do a great job.I would have used digital coaxial because they are stronger but it didn't have any Digital Coaxial in/out so I had no choice. These cables give a very smooth balanced sound and they are the only cables I would recommend before Nordost which are $100-$200 and save your money because they don't make near the improvement over the cables that comes with your gear compared to what the AR cables offer. They simply belie their asking price and to get a digital coaxial cable with a solid Oxygen free copper centre conductor, double shielded,75 ohm Digital audio cable with gold plated connectors and 100% overlapped aliminized mylar and 95% copper braid to help isolation and the $80 monster (Interlink 250 didn't have that) so you get your $$$ worth in technology and quality. The optical has a optical corrected curved finish to improve the light tranfer and it has wire restraint and machined gold plated connectors and all of this means nothing if they sound excellent and they do.Great product and I have also used their S-Video,Component Video, regualar audio, speaker wire and they are all excellent products.

PS I get asked by many people what is better (optical or digital Coaxial) and I prefer the digital coaxial because it is stronger but their is many theories and they all sound logical so take your pick in which one you think will last the longest and if you need it to be really flexible take the optical because it bends easier.

PSS Also go and see Dave at futureshop in Ottawa at Ogilvie if you are looking for a stand up salesman (which are hard to find in the commission hawk days)if you don't have a bud that works at a Hi-Fi shop or something. Thanks

This cable made a huge impact on the sound of my CD's. I never would have believed that one cable of any sort could make such a difference in sound quality. For those who can benefit from an optical cable (those who have an optical input on their receiver), the improvement will astound you. I paid 26.95 for this cable and it was the best bang for the buck I have ever experienced in my audio system. BetterCables has excellent products and the service is second to none. Price was the best I had seen for an optical cable anywhere and I got free shipping to boot. Also use a BetterCables digital coax for my DVD player, awesome!

Psssst! I know where you can get an awesome toslink for very little money! No its not hot or just fell off of the truck its at bettercables.com. I am overly impressed with this toslink for several reasons, first it is CHEAP compared with other toslinks. Second the quality of this toslink is obvious as soon as you take it out of the box. There is no need to spend $100 dollars or more on a toslink when you can get this one for about $40 bucks! The best part is that if you don't like it (Lord only knows why you wouldn't) you can send it back with no hassle!
