Strength:
Transparent. Good bass. At home in expensive system
Weakness:
green cable color is ugly. Just wanted to note that these are very good cables for the money. Price I posted is $50.00/ft for 6 ft external bi-wire less 20% discount given at UpScale Audio. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Fast transients, neutral, great bass, sweet highs, big soundstage.
Weakness:
None except that they lack the "macho" look of the more expensive competition I replaced a very expensive set of cables with the Q10 because I needed longer cables (14') to hide the power amp in the corner of the living room (wife issues). I was expecting the Q10 to be adequet and liveable for a while or until finances permitted the purchase of "real" cables and certainly did not expect them to perform as well as the cables I replaced. Right out of the box, I was blown away and I can honestly say that they outperformed the high priced cables in every aspect. As they are breaking in they are sounding even better each day. IMHO, DH Labs products represent an incredible value in high end audio. I've recently decided that the audiophile cable industry as typified by the big names we all are familiar with is a ripoff. It is refreshing to see a company like DH Labs offer such an excellent product at a fair price. I wish them great success and would like to be in on the IPO. Anyone contemplating the purchase of cables should consider DH Labs products a "no brainer". I recently ordered DH Labs Air Matrix interconnects for the preamp to power amp and CD player to preamp interfaces and a review will follow. Kudos also to Jeff Dahlman at Value Audio in Santa Cruz, CA for providing outstanding customer service. My only desire is for DH Labs to broaden their product line to include power cords and phono cables. Similar Products Used: Kimber 4TC, 8TC, Monster, Summit |

Strength:
As others have noted; very linear and extended top to bottom, open and clear, no discernable grain, very low distortion, excellent PRAT (pace, rythem, and timing), refreshing value
Weakness:
At the price the Q-10 is very good, however, it may be a tad lean in some systems I've spent the last 21/2 months trying to find a 'good' bi-wired cable (at a reasonable cost) to hook up my Aerial LR3s/CC3B HT fronts with. IMO the Aerials need a linear and open sounding cable, with no bass bloat, open mids, and extended, but smooth treble. This is what the Q-10s give me. As an added bonus the Q-10s provide excellent transient speed with minimal smearing. Prior to the Q-10s I tried LAT's best bi-wire cable, same internal bi-wired configuration. I wanted to like the LATs but they sounded flat, and to laid back with the Aerials. I also listened to Audioquest Granite, better then the LATs in some ways, but to pricey for their performance. I CANNOT HEAR ANY CARVER CT-23 PREAMP-CARVER TFM-55 AMP-MONSTER $60 INTERCONNECTS-HARMON KARDON 8350-MSB LINK lll-PARADIGRAM REFERENCE 100'S-I WOULD BLINDLY BUY MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE STUFF ONLY MY WIFE WOULD KILL ME IN MY SLEEP, SO I HAVE ONLY BOUGHT PRODUCTS THAT GET GREAT "BUY FOR THE BUCK'REVIEWS.OF ALL THE ABOVE PRODUCTS, THE CABLES SURPRISED ME THE MOST. I HATE THE IDEA THAT CABLES CAN MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE, BUT THEY DO! THEY SOUNDED TERRIBLE WHEN I FIRST HOOKED THEM UP, BUT 40+ HOURS LATER, THEY HAVE MADE MY SPEAKERS SOUND BETTER BALANCED, CLEAR AS A BELL IN THE HIGH RANGES, ALSO THE IMAGING IS MUCH BETTER.OR TO PUT IT ANOTHER WAY, THERE IS AN AIRINESS (IS THAT A WORD?) TO THEM THAT WAS LACKING. LOW RANGE IS CLEANED UP A BIT, BUT THE REAL DIFFERENCE IN MY CASE IS THE TOP END. THESE CABLES ARE CUSTOM FIT BY JEFF AT DH LABS, AND JEFF WAS A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. HE CALLED ME UP AND ASKED ME ABOUT MY SYSTEM, AND HAD THE CABLES TO ME IN 4 DAYS.INTERCONNECTS NEXT ONCE MY WIFE LOVES ME AGAIN, THESE ARE ALSO HIGHLY RATED. Strength:
Very clean signal, internal bi-wire, can be connected as a single 10 awg wire.
Weakness:
Long time to break in, very stiff 12 awg wire. Difficult to bend(it could be a good time) Bought this in bulk, this cable is both a pair of 14 awg and 12 awg cables combined in a swirl covered with a thick jacket. Also designed with a very thick silver coating on each wire strand and a tight teflon coating. Similar Products Used: Monster 12 awg generic |

Strength:
Simply put, the Q10 is a superb product.
Weakness:
None. I ordered the Q10's for my mains and some Silver Sonic interconnects about a month/six weeks ago from Jeff Dellman at Value Audio and I couldn't be happier. To my ears, the Q10's represent, by far, the best value and performance of any reasonably priced cables on the market. The Q10's favorably compare and/or beat many of those outrageously priced cables you can find in your high end audio shops, i.e. cables costing two to three times as much as the Q10's. I've always let my ears, as opposed to my ego, decide whats best for me, and the DH Labs Q10's represent the best value and performance for the dollar thats out there. Strength:
Great new product. Open, Clear and Neutral performance
Weakness:
Big Size. I was personally a fan of the smaller T-14, but the Q-10 is still a very attractive cable. DH LABS fans, get ready for a pleasant surprise. The Q-10 |

sound, construction, cost Q-10 is excellent cable, regardless of the price. Taking the price into account, it really is an amazing value. I purchased an 8' pair and a center channel cable from Jeff at Value Audio -- all with the internal biwire configuration and with bananas on the amp end and spades on the speaker end. I couldn't be happier with the sound, with the construction of the cables, and with the service from Value Audio. BTW, my system (at least speakers and receiver) is often considered fairly revealing (read: bright) and there is no problem with this cable in it. It sounds great. My wife has even commented on it (favorably!). Similar Products Used: Tributaries 14-gauge, Home Depot 12-gauge biwired |
